Good news. Dr Alexander Glätzle von planqc berichet auf dem #mmk25 darüber, dass Quantum-Computing eine von zehn Branchen ist, in denen Europa noch immer an der Weltspitze mithalten kann. TUM School of Management
planqc's quantum computers store information in individual atoms – nature's best qubits. Quantum information is processed by arranging these qubits in highly scalable arrays and manipulating them with precisely controlled laser pulses. planqc’s unique combination of quantum technologies is the fastest way to scale to thousands of qubits, a prerequisite for industry-relevant quantum advantage. planqc's founding team combines decades of international research on neutral-atom quantum technologies. Our quantum computers are built on the precision of the world’s best atomic clocks, the world’s best quantum gas microscopes, and high-speed Rydberg gates. planqc is the first startup to emerge from the Munich Quantum Valley, which with its vast network of research institutes and industrial partners fosters a unique quantum ecosystem for startups.

Honored to have participated in the Quantum Innovation Summit 2025 in Dubai! Last week, I had the privilege of joining industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to explore the future of quantum computing and its real-world impact. A special thanks to Mourad Telmini for the invitation to speak on a distinguished panel alongside Alex Khan, Krzysztof Switkowski, and Rafał Pracht, and to Malak Trabelsi Loeb for making this incredible event possible. Our discussion focused on the commercial and industrial potential of quantum computing and the challenges of scaling quantum hardware. My key message: 🔹 Quantum computing presents a transformative opportunity—allowing organizations to differentiate, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. But with this opportunity comes the responsibility to act now. 🔹 Scaling quantum for industry requires two critical elements: advancing hardware reliability and scalability, and investing in talent, development frameworks, HPC integration, and real-world applications. It’s clear that the future is hybrid—where quantum, classical, and high-performance computing (HPC) will co-exist to solve the most complex problems. The insights shared during the summit reaffirmed that while there are still challenges ahead, the momentum is undeniable. Exciting times for quantum, and I look forward to continued collaboration with the global ecosystem. #QuantumComputing #Innovation #QuantumFuture #HPC #QuantumInvestment
Shaping the Future of Computing: planqc at the CDL Panel We were happy to contribute to the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Next Gen Computing session at Campus Founders in Heilbronn. As a past CDL Quantum Stream winner in Toronto, planqc is deeply embedded in the global quantum innovation ecosystem, and this event was a fantastic opportunity to engage with leading minds shaping the future of computing. Our CTO & Co-Founder, Dr. Sebastian Blatt, joined a panel moderated by Prof. Ali Sunyaev, Vice President at TUM Campus Heilbronn. The discussion featured insights from: ▪️ Laura Schulz, Head of Quantum Computing and Technologies at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre, on integrating quantum computing into supercomputing facilities. ▪️ Dr. Philipp Gerbert, CEO of TUM Venture Labs and Director at appliedAI, on the convergence of AI and advanced computing architectures. ▪️ Prof. Dr. Achim Kempf, Professor of Mathematical Physics at the University of Waterloo, on quantum computing’s evolution from Feynman’s vision to today’s error correction breakthroughs. ▪️ Dr. Michael Bolle, Chairman of the Shareholder Council of the Carl Zeiss Foundation, on the challenges posed by Moore’s Law and AI’s computing demands. Sebastian Blatt shared his journey as both a scientist and an entrepreneur, emphasizing how planqc benefits from a strong research ecosystem, including Munich Quantum Valley, Max Planck Institute, TUM Venture Labs, and the German Aerospace Center (DLR). He highlighted the crucial role of collaboration in translating research into real-world applications. A huge thank you to CDL and TUM Campus Heilbronn for fostering a vibrant dialogue on the future of computing! #NextGenComputing #QuantumComputing #AI #Entrepreneurship #CreativeDestructionLab

The German election is over 🇩🇪 Now let's get to work 💪 There is a stable parliamentary majority of democratic forces and there is now clear leadership. And that is much needed for the country and for Europe 🇪🇺 Germany should invest in strategic areas that both offer strong growth and align with Germany’s strengths, like: --> Automotive and electromobility 🛻 --> Biotechnology and health 🧬 --> Sustainable energy and decarbonization ⚡ --> Advanced manufacturing and materials 🏭 --> Digitization and AI in industry 💻 That could double the GDP of Germany by 2035 📈 ! McKinsey & Company did an excellent study on these future growth potentials in Germany: https://lnkd.in/dDhetWEz What is clear is that we need more entrepreneurship, more risk-taking and more capital in Germany 💰 But the role models are already there! For example many of our great Speedinvest portfolio companies already have real impact on the traditional sectors of the German economy and are creating the future that we need: TWAICE, remberg, Schüttflix, Resourcify, cylib, planqc, Purpose Green, Nomos, FERNRIDE, NeoCarbon, trawa, one • fıve, CELUS, Flinn.ai, Recyda GmbH and many many more! Let's keep building!
