PLATH summer party: Wild Wild West with Wild Wild weather   The PLATH summer party in combination with a food truck promised lots of fun and culinary highlights in advance. Under the motto “Wild Wild West”, the employees gathered for an afternoon of fun, delicious food and refreshing drinks. Although the weather was a little capricious, this did not dampen the mood.   It all started with a street food classic: burgers were served from a food truck, which not only tasted great in all variations, but were also a real visual highlight. The juicy patties were served with a PLATH logo branded into the bun. They were accompanied by crispy curly fries or various bowls that perfectly matched the Wild West theme. Thanks to great decorations with inflatable wagon wheels and cacti and paper ones, the atmosphere was good right from the start, while the chic western hats and fringed outfits were admired among the guests.   While the first street food fans were enjoying the benchmark burgers from the food truck, the weather turned to Hamburg autumn and a heavy downpour forced the partygoers to seek shelter under umbrellas and roofs - but the shower didn't last long. After a short time, the sun broke through the clouds again and showed what September sunshine can still do. In the late afternoon, the barbecue was fired up and the BBQ could begin. The aroma of grilled meat, corn on the cob and vegetables filled the air, while the guests continued to enjoy the party in a Western atmosphere. There was plenty of opportunity to talk to each other, dance or simply enjoy the atmosphere.   A highlight of the evening was certainly the award ceremony for the best costumes. In the end, one colleague won with his costume, the highlight of which was an original Texan cowboy hat decorated with feathers. The celebrations continued into the evening. We are already looking forward to next year and are excited to see what theme awaits us then! #jobs #teambuilding #hamburgjobs

Here´s another Friday Fact: Did you know that PLATH developed the SFP500 radio direction finder? In the 1950s, it became standard equipment on almost every merchant ship and revolutionized radio reconnaissance through faster and more precise signal processing. #PLATH70years #techhistory #signalprocessing

Anfang des August fand der erste Teil eines Azubiaustauschs mit der Firma PROCITEC GmbH aus Pforzheim, einem unserer PLATH Group Member statt. Stefan, der Auszubildender zum Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration, war bei uns in Hamburg zu Besuch und wir konnten ihm spannende Einblicken in verschiedenste Abteilungen geben – auch das Teambuilding ist nicht zu kurz gekommen: ein Besuch im Jumphouse, gemeinsame Pausen und eine Paddeltour auf der Alster haben den Aufenthalt bei uns abgerundet.   Wir freuen uns, dass Stefan diese Zeit als sehr bereichernd empfunden hat und viele neue Eindrücke und Erfahrungen mitnehmen konnte. Im zweiten Teil des Austauschs haben unsere Auszubildenden Johann und Jules bei Procitec in Pforzheim die Gelegenheit, die auf Signal Monitoring und Signal Analysis spezialisierte Firma näher kennenzulernen und sicher auch einige schöne Teambuildings zu erleben.   Das wäre auch etwas für Dich?
