Spain's Devastating Floods 🚨 The recent flash floods in eastern Spain have caused loss of life and significant infrastructure damage. → ❕Humanitarian Crisis: At least 95 lives have been lost, and many more are missing. → 🏭Infrastructure Impact: Critical infrastructure, including power and telecommunications, has been severely compromised leaving 155.000 people without power. →🌧️ Unprecedented Rainfall: Some regions experienced a year's worth of rain in just a few hours. Such a tragic event shows the urgent need to address climate change and invest in risk preparedness and understanding. Learning from the past is key to building a more resilient future. After having... 🚨🌡️Reached the highest temperatures recorded month by month during the summer globally 👉🏼🔥Seen destructive wildfires and persistent droughts in South America. This year also reached the pinnacle in Poland, Hungary, the Cheque Republic, Austria, Romania, and Slovakia.
