Thank you, Thibault Bautze-Scherff, for sharing your insights. We completely agree — this was a highly valuable event and an excellent networking platform for laser technology users and experts in the photonics industry. #intelliSCAN #LaserProcessing #scanlab #LaserColloquium
Exciting insights from the ‘Laser Colloquium Hydrogen 2024’ organized by Fraunhofer ILT this week: Laser processing has become more relevant than ever for various manufacturing steps of bipolar plates for fuel cells. Laser scanners are used for cutting, welding, and surface processing of metallic bipolar plates. The high-quality scan systems from our sister company SCANLAB GmbH are utilized in all these applications. The long-term success of fuel cells relies on the continuous optimization of both production tools and product design. Hydrogen is widely recognized as a key technology for a zero-emissions future, and ongoing advancements in applications like fuel cells are essential for contributing to a sustainable economy. A big thank you to Dr. Alexander Olowinsky and the entire Fraunhofer ILT team for hosting such a successful event – it was a perfect opportunity for Thibault Bautze-Scherff, representing Blackbird, to network with project partners, customers, and research institutions. #Hydrogen #FuelCells #Blackbird #LaserWeldingExperts #ScanSystems #MadeInGermany #Networking #LKH2

We are honored that our joint research projects with various partners continue to attract attention from international conferences, as well as from the scientific and trade press. Just two weeks ago, Lucas de Andrade Both presented insights from our collaborative project in Bari, Italy, at CASE 2024. In his first talk, "Novel Approach for Trajectory Planning in Laser Material Processing: Constrained Dual-Stage System Using Model Predictive and Sliding Mode Control" he highlighted the flexibility of the extended XL SCAN software interface, explaining how to better harness the dynamic potential of cascaded scan systems without compromising precision. For his second presentation, "A New Trajectory Planning Approach with Motion Duration Control for Kinematic Constrained Systems" he introduced new software-based algorithms interfacing with our XL SCAN system, featuring precisely synchronized control for additionally cascaded scan axes or beam shapers. More details on this aspect of our research are available here: https://lnkd.in/dnPWcvJf Our joint project is based at the Forschungscampus Digital Photonic Production DPP, under the "Research Campus Public-Private Partnership for Innovation" initiative, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) (Funding number: 13N15423). Feel free to reach out to Felix Lange for further information. #XLSCAN #laserprocessing #researchproject #teamwork #scanlab #scansystems #MadeInGermany
