Everything comes to an end ... in this case an Automatic Recirculation Valve from the early Schroeder Valves years. To be precise, this ARV from the SSV series was built in 1971 and has never been opened or serviced in the 53 years since. A spare part has never been needed. A pity for our after-sales department, but great for our customer. By the way, the “red color” comes from an additive that is given to the boiler feed water and acts as a rust inhibitor. After more than 5 decades it looks like a nice coat of paint. The valve can now be retired and will move into the Schroeder Valves Museum and be replaced by a new pump protection valve, which will then be allowed to work the next 53 years until 2077? We are happy to share with you that Schroeder Valves has received the Production License of Special Equipment of the People's Republic of China for our reliable Automatic Recirculation Valves (ARV). After having been audited by a professional team in late summer this year, it has become official now. Although we must say that the audit itself already gave a foreshadowing of a successful outcome.
