We look back on an exciting Schunk Innovation Contest! 🎉 In our internal innovation competition, all 10 business units of the Schunk Group compete against each other. At the end, the jury awards two prizes: - the Schunk Innovation Award 🏆 for the best innovation and - the Schunk Sustainability Award 🏆 for the innovation with the greatest potential to contribute to a sustainable future. 💡Congratulations to this year's Schunk Innovation Award winner: The Business Unit Industry for developing a 3D printing process for graphite materials. A real pioneering achievement! With this innovative technology, our carbon experts can not only produce components with individual material properties, but also enable completely new designs. Even complex geometries can be printed almost near net shape, which saves material, effort, and costs and increases efficiency. The new process not only gives customers shorter delivery times and lower costs, but also much more freedom in component design. Geometries can now be produced that would not have been possible with conventional manufacturing processes. 🥬 Well done, Business Unit Environmental Simulation! With the use of CO2 as a refrigerant in environmental simulation systems, our experts from weisstechnik have won the Sustainability Award.
