Great work at TUHH with our EIT32 Impedance Tomography System!
Research Assistant at Hamburg University of Technology / Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) in Multiphase Reactors
Our first real-time 2D Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) of gas holdup in a bubbly column has been successfully performed using a Sciospec 32-electrode system. Initial tests were carried out at 100 kHz, 1mA current injection, 100ms frame rate and with 16 stainless steel electrodes in a 50 mM NaCl solution under controlled flow rates. Although the current resolution does not yet allow for precise mapping of bubble distributions, this development marks an important step forward for project A02 within the CRC 1615 SMART Reactors - TUHH . This work demonstrates the potential of EIT for condition monitoring in chemical reactors. With further improvements in modeling, reconstruction algorithms, and an increased number of electrodes, more refined results are hopefully to come in the future.

Big thanks to Yanjie Li, Junru Bao & Mohammadreza Khosravizadeh! Keep up the fantastic work.
Our week with the dynamic team of students from TU Munich as part of the TUM 1000+ program was truly inspiring! The students demonstrated a strong interdisciplinary approach, brimming with ideas and high motivation. Together, we delved into the potentials of our technology platform for new application fields and global trends. The fusion of impedance spectroscopy and impedance tomography with emerging technologies opens up exciting avenues, just as the integration of AI-based data analysis with our massive multi-channel electrophysiological measurements does. Exploring these intersections proved equally fascinating and educational for both the students and our team. The fresh perspective and unbiased thoughts were impressive and enlightening. Countless innovative ideas, excellent new insights, and a wealth of lessons on agile and cooperative work methods – not only for the students but also for our team at Sciospec. It was fantastic to witness how their commitment and eagerness to learn and think differently immediately brought a breath of fresh air to our team. A heartfelt thank you to Nina Santner and Oliver Hayden for organizing this outstanding program, which not only fosters creative ideas but also imparts lessons on agile and cooperative approaches. It was a week filled with inspiration, new perspectives, and valuable lessons. Most importantly, a big thank you to the brilliant students Yanjie Li, Junru Bao, and Mohammadreza Khosravizadeh. You have left a lasting impression on our Sciospec team! We look forward to future collaborations and to collectively exploring the frontiers of science and technology! 🚀🔬 #Innovation #TUM #TUM1000plus #FutureTech #Teamwork #Sciospec more info on https://lnkd.in/dBme5Jx9 and www.sciospec.com/eit/

For many years we've been supporting the International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy at Technische Universität Chemnitz. This year I was invited to give a tutorial on "Impedance Measurements - Instruments, Sensors & Beyond: An introduction on how to choose, design and successfully use setups for electrical impedance spectroscopy" and a hands-on tutorial "Impedance measurements - instruments, sensors & beyond - shown on selected experiments" at the Advanced Advanced School on Impedance Spectroscopy. Many thanks for your invitation, the valuable input, and your hospitality, to Olfa Kanoun and her team from the Measurement and Sensor Technology (MST)!
