The 2024 UN #SDGAwards winners were announced in a memorable live Ceremony in #Rome, Italy, on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, that celebrated the theme, Hope in Action. The Ceremony featured keynote speeches from distinguished thought leaders and changemakers, such as Canon EMEA Ambassador and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Muhammed Muheisen, Paralympian and disability advocate Jessica Smith OAM PLY, and award-winning film director and producer Farhoud Meybodi. They underscored the importance of cross-sector collaboration and community engagement in addressing complex global issues. The Ceremony also included performances by Italian singer and songwriter Noemi, who performed a beautiful rendition of John Lennon’s song 'Imagine', and poet-activist Maryam Bukar - Hassan, who performed the spoken word piece 'Break the Old Patterns'.
