🚀 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗺 🤖 This week, we have taken another exciting step towards automating our fulfilment processes with the addition of a robotic arm from Sereact. Our team has already welcomed this innovative assistant at our AutoStore port by giving it a fitting name—“Pico”! At the moment, Pico is in its initial phase, where we are fine-tuning its calibration to ensure it picks items as efficiently and smoothly as possible. Guided by an advanced camera system, Pico can visually detect items in our bins and expertly pick them up using suction cups. Sounds straightforward? Well, with around 30,000 different items in our AutoStore - each varying in size and weight – there is plenty to master! For now, Pico is focused on picking single-item orders. Once fully calibrated, Pico will allow us to provide: ✅ Even faster operations ✅ Higher processing capacity ✅ Shorter lead times And we are just getting started! Looking ahead, we plan to assign Pico even more complex tasks, pushing our capabilities to the next level.
