At the end of 2024, our team put many amazing organizations into the pot for our self-organized charity raffle – and one of them was Abenteuer Regenwald e.V.. Good news: The organization was one of eight winners and we were delighted to support them with a donation! 🌱🌍 This week, we had another fun and inspiring meeting with Kathrin, the founder and CEO of Abenteuer Regenwald. It was great to have you with us, dear Kathrin Grau! 🤗 Kathrin brought along a special suitcase full of old smartphones and their various components – something that, as a (fin)tech company, immediately caught our interest. 📱💼 These suitcases are traveling all over Germany, educating students about the valuable resources inside our smartphones, the complex production processes behind them and how all of this connects to rainforest destruction. Hey Eveyone! ☺️ In our last post we shared how our Christmas charity raffle helped support the Rainforest and its important work. But that wasn’t the only wonderful project we had the chance to contribute to! Another inspiring initiative we were able to support was the St. Vincent de Paul Community Organization, which provides essential help to children and families in Kibera, Kenia. They recently sent us an update on how they were able to use the donation so far: ▶️ Providing food for the next two months for their rescue center and kindergarten, ensuring children receive nutritious meals. ▶️ Purchasing uniforms for children in their playgroup, fostering a sense of belonging and equality. ▶️ Covering school fees for 55 children, giving them access to education they might not have had otherwise. A big hug to Rachel Onyango and the entire team for their tireless efforts and their dedication to create a better future for these children. Last week, we were at this years Get Together organised by Deutsche Börse, Eurex & Xetra – and once again, it was lovely 💙! As in previous years, it was cool to see both new and familiar faces.
