How do Europeans feel about their own appearance? Half of them (49 %) are satsified with their looks. The main reason is as simple as it is challenging for many: 63 % accept themselves as they are. However, age also seems to play a major role, with 28% becoming more self-confident as they’ve gotten older. Only two percent of Europeans state that they have had cosmetic surgery to improve their appearance. In contrast, Europeans' main reason for dissatisfaction with their appearance seems to be that they feel overweight (49 %). What about you? We are honored to have been named the 5th time “Company of the Year – EMEA”, in our core Europe, the Middle East and North Africa regions, at this year’s Global Generics and Biosimilars Awards. Uwe Landvatter, our Senior Director of Global Business Development & Licensing, gratefully accepted the award for the group during the CPhI trade fair in Milan, Italy. Based on assessments by an expert panel, the awards recognize outstanding accomplishments and groundbreaking innovations in the global off-patent pharmaceutical landscape. In STADA’s case, the experts highlighted the transformation of the company “from a German-centered company that is mainly focused on generics, into a broad-based Europe-focused healthcare company with market-beating growth on the top and bottom line,” under the leadership of CEO Peter Goldschmidt. It’s a great recognition for the STADA growth journey. This was also reflected in STADA being a shortlisted finalist in several other categories, including Biosimilar Initiative and Regulatory Achievement. Today is World Mental Health Day! At STADA, we appreciate that mental wellbeing is a major contributor to overall health. Our aspiration of Caring for People’s Health begins with our employees. 43 % of Europeans are afraid of ageing - and the reasons are manifold.

Nearly 130 years ago, STADA was founded by pharmacists. On #WorldPharmacistsDay today we want to give a big thank you to all the pharmacists and their teams for everything they do to provide access to medicines worldwide. This year’s theme, "Meeting global health needs," resonates with us as we continue working together to support good health and well-being. Pharmacists and doctors “know what’s best” according to the #STADAHealthReport. Although discontent with healthcare is tangible, trust in conventional medicine has increased significantly across Europe. Almost 7 in 10 Europeans (69%) say that they trust conventional medicine largely or fully – an increase by 7 percentage points compared to 2022. Trust in conventional medicine is already high, but the STADA Health Report has identified the following development potential to increase it even further: 👉 46% believe a stronger focus on patient needs will enhance trust. 👉 42% think clearer communication during consultations is crucial. 👉 41% believe breakthroughs in treating severe diseases, like cancer, would boost confidence. Addressing these factors could significantly increase trust and improve patient experiences.
