How small is a nanometer? Have you ever wondered what a "nanometer" actually is? This tiny unit of measurement enables our modern tech revolution but can be hard to visualize. Let's zoom in to the nanoscale and explore real-world examples to understand the incredibly small size of nanometers. A nanometer is one billionth of a meter.  That's 0.000000001 meters! To grasp how minuscule that is, here are two comparisons:  ➡️ A human hair is around 50,000 to 100,000 nanometers wide. Nanoparticles are less than 100 nanometers in size - meaning you could fit hundreds across the width of a single hair!  ➡️ A penny is about 1.5 millimeters thick. If you were to slice it into 1.5 million layers, each one would be just 1 nanometer thick!    Understanding the nanoscale enables scientists to pack more computing power onto tiny microchips. Modern microchips use transistors just a few nanometers wide - allowing billions of them to fit onto a tiny chip. So whenever you hear about "nanotech" or "nanometers", it refers to engineering on a scale far too small for our eyes to see. But this invisible nano-world is transforming electronics, computing, medicine, and more every day. Big impact of small tech! 💬 Your turn: What are your favorite examples that help visualize just how tiny nanometers are? #SUSS #Semiconductor #GrowingInnovation

Innovation doesn't happen in isolation, it thrives on collaboration. (7/7) Our work with ink suppliers goes far beyond product development. Together with Agfa, Electra Polymers Ltd and Taiyo America, Inc., we've presented inkjet solutions at key industry events such as the FED Conference in Potsdam (2022) and the EIPC Winter Conference in Lyon (2023). In 2024, we partnered with Electra Polymers and Agfa to host a webinar introducing the JETxSM Flow Engine. This software revolutionizes printing strategies, allowing customers and suppliers to focus on ink functionality and innovation instead of endless fine-tuning. Over the past few weeks, we've shared stories of collaboration, innovation and progress with our inkjet partners. ➡️ Together, we've shown how partnerships drive technology forward and pave the way for future breakthroughs.  What excites you most about the future of inkjet? #SUSS #Semiconductor #GrowingInnovation

How can high-resolution lithography and full-field exposure work together?  One of the biggest challenges in advanced semiconductor manufacturing is balancing two seemingly opposing requirements. On the one hand, ever-smaller structures demand fine resolution to enable cutting-edge chip performance. On the other, large exposure fields are essential for advanced packaging applications - especially in AI and high-performance computing, where scaling up is just as critical as scaling down. Our solution: The DSC300 Gen3.    This proprietary SUSS projection scanner combines the best of two lithography worlds:    ✅ Stepper-like resolution for precise patterning  ✅ 1:1 full-field projection like a Mask Aligner – enabling flexible pattern design in a single exposure  ✅ No risk of mask contamination – ensuring high yield and process stability  This makes the DSC300 Gen3 the ideal choice for next-generation semiconductor manufacturing, where scaling down and scaling up go hand in hand. 💬 What’s your take? How do you see lithography evolving in the future?  #SUSS #Semiconductor #GrowingInnovation
