We believe in supporting dreams, no matter how big they are. That’s why we made a small athlete sponsorship to Giulia Rizzi, an Italian epee fencer who lives near our TFA site and is well-known in the area. Giulia, born in Udine in 1989, started fencing at the age of 6. Her dedication led her to win a bronze medal at the Italian championships at just 22. She later moved to Paris, training with renowned coaches Daniel Levavasseur and Benoit Janvier, refining her skills to become a world-class athlete. Looking back at the Olympic Games 2024, Giulia’s moment of glory remains unforgettable. Giulia and her teammates competed in the final against France. Facing challenges - In a recent interview with Moneycab, our CEO Frank Koch talks about the challenging times for the manufacturing industry. Despite global uncertainties, we are determined to actively shape change and find future-oriented solutions. The global economic situation presents us with major challenges. The recession in Europe, high energy costs and unstable supply chains are having a particular impact on the manufacturing industry. In Germany, the automotive and mechanical engineering industries are undergoing a profound transformation. However, with our focus on special steels developed for complex applications and our sustainable “green steel”, we are creating a clear advantage. We are continuously working towards the full realization of an environmentally sustainable, robust and resilient Group, but this still requires time and significant commitment. With perfect weather, our 3rd “Fit into Autumn” run brought 130 participants, including DEW CEO Dr. Lutz Ernenputsch, together for a day of fun, fitness, and creativity! 🎉 They started with a lively 10-minute warm-up to get everyone ready and prevent injuries. The event took a fun twist as many participants turned the race into a “Carnival Run,” showing up in creative costumes. The course was full of excitement, with music, a water station, and for the first time ever – a candy bar! 🍬 After the race, we celebrated with the awarding of the challenge trophy, where three participants won the first-place trophy for the third year in a row, earning the right to keep it (fastest runner, fastest walker, fastest female walker). There were also prizes for the funniest costume, furthest travel distance, the best finish, and most dedicated helper. After our employees started the fall fit & healthy, we wrapped up the evening with food, drinks, and great company.
