Meet Sören Eversmeier 🚀. He's our new Head of Business Development & Partnerships at TechQuartier and already making his mark. 🐣 Where are you from? I grew up in Vlotho, a charming town in North Rhine-Westphalia, situated between Bielefeld and Minden. However, I’ve called Frankfurt home for over 14 years now. 🚉 What were you doing before joining TechQuartier? My career began in banking during the financial crisis, and in 2010, I studied Economics & Business Administration at Goethe University. It was there that I met Dr. Sebastian Schaefer in an entrepreneurship course, which sparked my interest in business development. My journey in business development started ten years ago at the Frankfurt-based startup COBI, where I was part of an international team that created a smart riding experience by connecting bikes with smartphones. Today, our innovation is integrated into Bosch eBike. For the past seven years, I’ve contributed to Deutsche Bahn's digital innovation journey in various roles. I’ve built internal startups focused on immersive technologies and AI, founded the SCALE.UP venture client program for mature startups, and worked with DB mindbox—our startup hub in Berlin—to integrate startup solutions into our IT portfolio. Most recently, I led a developer team at vsion.ai, Deutsche Bahn’s corporate AI venture, creating AI products and services for automated machine perception. 🎲 Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years? I see myself continuing to work with inspiring people to create sustainable solutions for a better world. My goal is to help bring more of these solutions to life. On a personal level, I look forward to spending quality time with my family and helping my children grow up as responsible and compassionate individuals. 🤸♀️ What do you do for fun? I’m an active and creative person with a passion for sports, photography, and music. I’ve played Lacrosse at SC1880 for over ten years, and after work, you’ll often find me at the gym, on the Padel or golf course. Besides sports, I enjoy capturing moments with my camera, playing guitar, attending concerts and festivals, and traveling with my wife and dog. 💚 Why do you like TechQuartier? To make a real difference and create successful, sustainable, and inclusive solutions, we need the power of co-creation across all levels of society. This involves collaboration between governments, leading companies, universities, and forward-thinking entrepreneurs.
