Tokai COBEX supports moments of happiness! 🤗 Loneliness and social isolation can be a major challenge for many people, especially those with limited mobility. In order to help them, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) Westhessen has launched a new volunteer initiative called “Glücksfahrten” (“Happy Journeys”). This pilot project aims to bring people together, providing everyone with access to meaningful social connections. The “Happy Journeys” are organised by volunteers who take the participants to their desired destinations in a specially equipped vehicle. We at Tokai COBEX are proud to support this project and hope our donation will contribute to the organisation and maintenance of the “Glücks” (“Happiness”) vehicle. As Dennis Böttjer, CFO of Tokai COBEX, emphasised during the official cheque handover: “Social commitment is one of the values Tokai COBEX lives by. When we learned about the ‘Glücksfahrten’ project, we didn't hesitate to support it”. Many thanks to ASB and all volunteers for their commitment to this project. Tokai COBEX Poland dołącza do globalnej akcji #WorldCleanupDay! 💚 Łącznie 30 pracowników z Nowego Sącza i Raciborza, w ramach wolontariatu pracowniczego, wyruszyło w najbliższe okolice, aby oczyścić teren miasta z zalegających odpadów. Włączenie się w inicjatywę było dla nas nie tylko okazją do tego, aby posprzątać (zebraliśmy łącznie 45 worków śmieci!), ale również pozwoliło nam się jeszcze lepiej poznać. 😊 Co ważne, nasza akcja została objęta Honorowym Patronatem Prezydenta Miasta Racibórz oraz Prezydenta Miasta Nowego Sącza. To dzięki zaangażowaniu lokalnych Urzędów wiedzieliśmy, gdzie najlepiej się udać, aby nasze działania przyniosły wymierny efekt, a dzięki uzgodnionej współpracy mieliśmy również zapewniony odbiór zebranych przez nas odpadów. Our Sponsorship of Cristina 🐘 Last weekend my son and I have been in the Opelzoo in Kronberg in order to visit Cristina. Cristina is an African elephant and single mother of a 3 year old baby, named Neco. As a contribution to the worldwide protection of species Tokai COBEX has taken over a sponsorship for Cristina last year. We took part in a guided tour and a zoo pedagogue provided us exciting insights about the species "elephant" in general and revealed us that Tamo, a beeding bull, is showing an interest in Cristina. If all goes well, we can expect the first Kronberg elephant calf since 1968 in summer 2025 (since the gestation period is 22 month) – born by our Cristina. Tradycyjnie już i z wielką przyjemnością podsumowujemy wyniki kolejne edycji Poland Business Run! 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ W tym roku po raz kolejny pokazaliśmy, że mamy moc! Aż 16 drużyn, czyli 80 pracowników z różnych naszych lokalizacji przebiegło lub przeszło łącznie 320 km na rzecz osób po amputacjach i z innymi problemami w obrębie narządów ruchu.
