The scope, scale, and complexity of the climate change challenge cannot be solved by governments alone. Driving effective, equitable, and sustainable solutions to tackle climate change will require dynamic new partnerships with non-state actors, including civil society, the private sector, social entrepreneurs, and others in the social economy to put people and communities at the heart of climate finance and hold decision-makers accountable for climate action that benefits everyone. Join us at #ClimateWeekNYC for an engaging discussion on financing the people-driven solutions we need to enhance the accountability of climate finance. 📅 Thursday, 26 Sep 📍 North Javits, NYC More info ➡️ http://anticorru.pt/35i

Livestock in the Amazon is responsible for a significant share of Brazil’s total greenhouse gas emissions and has a major impact on global climate change. Especially when associated with land grabbing and illegal deforestation, livestock can be linked to corruption, fraud and laundering practices and cause human rights violations of indigenous peoples and local communities. Transparência Internacional - Brasil will be hosting an event during #ClimateWeekNYC to discuss the current status of transparency, integrity, and oversight in the Amazon meat supply chain. Join us! Additionally, systemic corruption in many countries often results in critical funds being siphoned away from healthcare. Learning from past health crises can prevent corruption in Africa's mpox response. Transparency, oversight and accountability must lead the way to ensure no one is left behind.
