Water in a heated world: A global challenge that demands climate-resilient water management 💧🌍 The accelerating changes in the global water cycle, driven by climate change, require urgent and comprehensive adaptation in national and international water policies. This is the key message of the WBGU report "Water in a Heated World," elaborated by our expert Prof. Jörg Drewes, Chair of Urban Water Systems Engineering at TUM School of Engineering and Design and member of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU). From severe droughts like the water emergency in Catalonia, to catastrophic floods in Eastern Europe, and increasing pollution across Africa — water emergencies are becoming more frequent and widespread. These crises pose significant threats to political, societal, and ecological stability. The report emphasizes that we must act now to mitigate climate change, protect ecosystems, and implement climate-resilient, socially balanced water management to prevent further water crises. Und genau das machen wir hier in MCube - Munich Cluster for the future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions - heute mit dem fantastischen Team vom FTM Institute of Automotive Technology TUM (TUM School of Engineering and Design (ED)! 🚗🔋 #AutonomesFahren #WiesnShuttle #clusters4future Was für ein Leistung liebes Team - Danke 🙏 Markus Lienkamp Florian Pfab Johannes Betz David Brecht, Frank Diermeyer Nils Gehrke, Maximilian Hübner, Gemb Kaljavesi, Nijinshan Karunainayagam, Niklas Krauss, Tobias Kerbl, Dominik Kulmer, Tobias Mascetta, Esteban Rivera Guerrero Loïc Stratil Xiyan Su Ilir Tahiraj Richard Taupitz Ines Trautmannsheimer Gerald Würsching Carolin Zimmer Johanna Wantzen Ulrich Meyer Mathieu Oliver May-Beckmann 📸 Technische Universität München Andreas Heddergott
