While the visit centered around meeting Airmen and observing day-to-day operations, it was also a testament to the essential role our logistics, force protection, and engineering teams play in underpinning the mission of our command. These core functions are the backbone of our ability to generate and deliver air superiority, ensuring that our forces remain ready, resilient, and responsive. This week, U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Jason Hinds welcomed Host Nation Advisors from across the command during the 2024 Host Nation Advisor’s Meeting. Host Nation Advisors are integral to the relationships fostered between the U.S. and the countries hosting our servicemembers overseas, as they identify potential problem areas, military constraints, environmental concerns and public discord over military-related incidents or activities, and propose appropriate actions for remedy. “This conference is an excellent opportunity to familiarize these key advisors with the Commander’s strategic objectives while also receiving first-hand information about the situation in the various countries hosting USAFE-AFAFRICA forces,” Hinds said.
