Efficient #shunting processes are the basis for efficient #railfreight transport. So it's a good thing that special #couplings, such as our type 55, are available for this purpose. The coupling developed for #locomotives 🚂 enables automated train formation and ensures, for example, that the train can make its way to its destination station on time. Automatic couplings also make the demanding work of shunting personnel much safer. We have designed the coupling especially for use under heavy loads and in harsh environments. So it's a real tough guy on the rail network! Nevertheless - and this also ensures greater economical efficiency🍃 - the Type 55 impresses rail operators with its ease of servicing and low maintenance.
