🏅 Special award for 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 e. V.: The team led by coach Frank Schmidt received the Fair Play Medal from the German Football Association (DFB) for their respectful behavior in the match against SV Darmstadt 1898. On matchday 31 of the 2023/2024 season, the team celebrated an away win at the Hessians, which relegated SV Darmstadt 1898 e.V.. The Heidenheim players showed compassion and comforted the dejected Lilies in the players' tunnel immediately after the final whistle, before celebrating their secured spot in the German Bundesliga with their supporters in front of the fan block. It's a match: In keeping with our corporate values of fair, reliable and ambitious, these are precisely the attributes that characterize FCH. We are proud to have supported this value-oriented team for over 25 years and are even more delighted for our partner to receive this well-deserved award - congratulations and well done! 🎉 💪

We are excited to launch Voith's "Eco Guardians" project, promoting sustainable development in China. Eighteen Voith families participated at the Chongming Dongtan National Nature Reserve in Shanghai. Chongming Dongtan, at the mouth of the Yangtze River, is a key stopover for nearly a million migratory birds in the Asia-Pacific region. Voith collaborated with a local nonprofit organization to protect this unique area's ecological environment and biodiversity. As part of the #VoithCares program, Voith and the Hanns Voith Foundation annually award financial support to a select number of employee-nominated social projects and nonprofits they volunteer for. Our donation contributed to the smooth execution of this event. The event featured two main parts: nature education and a beach cleanup. Participants visited the bird science museum and attended lectures on marine environmental protection. They also demonstrated their commitment by cleaning the beach and sorting the collected plastic waste for recycling. Children reflected on their experiences through drawings and writings, reinforcing their environmental awareness. Last Friday, more than 350 guests, the #Voith family, the Corporate Board of Management, Mayor Michael Salomo and other guests, came together to honor and thank our loyal employees from the Heidenheim and Garching locations. The event celebrated their remarkable milestones of 25, 40, and even 50 years of service.✨ Inspiring speeches by corporate and family representatives, an interview with Marc Schnatterer, the ambassador and long-time captain of FC Heidenheim, and interactive activities, such as an entertaining raffle and a thrilling light show, made the celebration truly special. A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to Voith. Together we have achieved great things and continue to do so. 🚀

Throwback to 1922 when Voith ventured into a new business field - the construction of gear wheels. Leveraging our rich experience in building gear wheel-driven paper machines and water turbines, this new direction was an organic extension of our core business. 🎉 Our expertise in fluid technology, honed over years of turbine construction, proved invaluable. Through a series of groundbreaking inventions, Voith soon became a key provider of basic technologies for road and rail transport in an increasingly mobile society. 🚌 🚆 🛤️ ➡️ A notable milestone was in 1932 when Voith developed an innovative turbo transmission for the emerging diesel- or gas-driven railcars, replacing the old steam engines. The manual gearboxes previously installed were only partly suitable for rail applications. The turbo transmission made its debut in 1933 in Austrian railbuses, marking a successful start that led to more orders both domestically and internationally. Join us as we commemorate World Standards Day today! This day is dedicated to honoring the collaborative work of standardization experts worldwide. We're proud to play our part in this critical field, making significant contributions to safety standards within our industry. This year, we're excited to highlight a significant milestone achieved through a collaboration between #Voith and Trützschler, the leading manufacturer of textile machinery. Together, we further developed the original Voith safety standard for wet-laid nonwoven machinery into the international safety standard ISO 22291. For the first time, wet-laid nonwoven production facilities can be designed and installed using this unified international product standard to ensure compliance with the most advanced international safety standards. We also had the privilege of working with Austrian Standards, the Austrian organization for standardization and innovation, to ensure the new standard meets international requirements. A project close to our hearts in Kenya: Children's Hope receives financial support of 1,000 euros as part of #VoithCares. The children's initiative in #Kenya supports children and young people in gaining an education and thus enables families in the Machakos district south-east of #Nairobi to build a better life for themselves. A total of 84 families with around 250 children are currently members of the project. Most of them live in scattered mud houses or huts that rarely have electricity or water. Specifically, the #VoithCares funding goes towards a sewing project that enables ten women to earn their own living and improve their families' standard of living in the long term by making and selling school uniforms and other items of clothing. "We are very grateful for the support Children's Hope receives from Voith, because the self-help activities bring about a lasting improvement in living conditions," explains Frank Rotthaus, Manager Platform Solutions at #Voith Digital Solutions, who has been involved in his passion project for over 20 years. As part of the #VoithCares program, Voith and the Hanns Voith Foundation annually award financial support to a select number of employee-nominated social projects and nonprofits they volunteer for. Children's Hope already received a funding from Voith last year.
