On Monday, September 2nd, our colleagues had the privilege to attend two thrilling wheelchair rugby matches at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: ▪️ Germany vs Denmark ▪️ Australia vs England The fans cheered, clapped and created an unforgettable atmosphere! Our team was amazed by the determination and skill of the athletes. 👏 Our colleagues watched from the Champs de Mars Arena, an amazing temporary venue behind the Eiffel Tower. Paris has truly outdone itself as a host city for these games. 🌍 Moving INTERMODAL Together in Genk: A Step Towards Sustainable Transport Recently, VTG and Haven Genk NV proudly hosted an inspiring intermodal event in Genk, Belgium, bringing together around 50 industry professionals from across the supply chain—shippers, RU's, terminals, operators, workshops, and more. The theme, "Time to Connect," resonated strongly as we explored the future of sustainable transport together. The day was filled with insightful discussions and innovative demonstrations of our r2L solution and electrified wagon, alongside presentations of modular solutions like scrap boxes and coil boxes. 🏃♂️ Successful turnout at the MOPO relay run! 🏃♀️ Last week, a total of 70 of our sports enthusiasts participated in the MOPO relay run — and the event was a great success! In teams of five, the running baton was passed on as each runner covered a 5 km distance in and around Hamburg's Stadtpark. But it wasn't just the runners who gave their all—many colleagues were there to cheer them on, creating a fantastic atmosphere. After the run, the teams were rewarded with a well-deserved BBQ to celebrate their achievements. We are thrilled that so many dedicated colleagues took part and are already looking forward to next year! Changes in the Executive Board of VTG GmbH After more than 30 years in senior leadership positions at the AAE and VTG groups, Mark Stevenson will step down from his position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Executive Board on August 31, 2024.
