It’s great to see these HART vehicles fully equipped and ready to go live within North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (HART). After being awarded the National contract to supply these specialised vehicles, we’ve worked with the National Ambulance Resilience Unit (NARU) and the wider National HART teams to finalise the specification to the highest level using the latest technology within the market while keeping ergonomics a key priority. Such a fulfilling project to work on, supplying x75 Response vehicles, x30 Personnel carriers, x15 4x4’s and x7 Welfare vehicles across all English NHS Trusts which we are half way through supplying from WAS Wietmarscher Ambulanz- und Sonderfahrzeuge
A new fleet of vehicles for the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) have just been deployed in Greater Manchester and Merseyside. This new generation of vehicles is a new nationally agreed fleet to be adopted by all ambulance trusts, with NWAS the first in the country to introduce them. Each team has received five new design incident response vehicles and a four wheel-drive Toyota Hilux truck. The incident response vehicles now allow easier access to equipment from outside with fire engine style shutters. The Hilux providing added off road capabilities. In addition, arriving in the next few weeks will be two new crew carriers, replacing existing vehicles.
