I had an incredible time participating in the panel discussion on #ResponsibleAI at the Databricks World Tour Conference in Munich yesterday! 🌍🤖 It was fantastic to reconnect with so many colleagues and friends, including Dr. Katrin Botzen, Kathrin Schwan, Mayank Agarwal Dominik Koch, and Jana Hirte. It was also great to meet our new Accenture DACH family members from initions, our Databricks partner – welcome aboard! Here are my three key takeaways from the discussion: 💼 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲: Responsible AI goes beyond fairness and compliance; it opens doors to business value by providing robust best practices. 🛡️𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗜 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀: There are numerous techniques to manage GenAI risks, such as prompt engineering, guardrails, monitoring, RAG, and LLM content moderation. 📈 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗜: We see a trend towards Agentic AI, like introducing Agent-as-a-Judge frameworks or breaking down tasks into smaller LLM agents for better control and responsibility by design. Lecture - Women's power at 1900. 24.02.2025 18:30 The Munich women's movement and Art Nouveau The birth of the modern woman - the discovery of the self In the 1890s, a women's movement emerged in Munich that opened the window to modernity. New roles for women and men were explored and new forms of sexuality were practised. At the centre of this movement were artists inspired by Naturalism and Jugendstil who presented themselves effectively to the public. They networked throughout Germany - including with progressive men - and fought for self-determination and independence. "Long live freedom ... we create our own rights". In fact, the women and men involved in the Munich women's liberation movement were already fighting for education and careers, for self-realisation and self-determination, for equal rights and equal pay for men and women before 1900. And Atelier Elvira in Munich really was the most important nucleus of the German women's movement around 1900.

How do we navigate responsible AI? I enjoyed the panel at the Databricks World Data+AI Tour debating the opportunities and challenges of AI. Today I had the pleasure to be on stage at the #databricks Data AI World Tour in Munich during the Women in Big data panel and talk about #responsibleAI. Thanks a lot to Kendy Rannenberg for having me and to the great ladies together with me on stage. It was a pleasure Why? 1️⃣Kendy shared the status of where we stand in terms of equality in tech and that it is likely to take another 134 years to achieve this. Poor status that shows: we need more role models in tech and MINT is a topic for everyone and AI and data skills are in high demand. So we cannot leave 50% of the workforce unconsidered for those jobs. 2️⃣Responsible AI is such an important topic that we have to consider when building unbiased, ethical, risk-minimized AI solutions. Discussing guidelines, principles and frameworks about how organizations can prepare for that was our topic for today.
