💡 Last Friday, the Women in Process Mining (WIPM) community had the incredible opportunity to hear from Leslie Goldstone, PgMP, PMP, Director of Process Mining at HARMAN International, in our Voices of the Community Virtual Event! For those who were unable to attend, here are a few key insights from the fireside chat: ✏️ Governance is a crucial aspect of success with process mining. Teams should clearly define not only their roles and responsibilities, but also the expected outcome from each role. Three key roles to have are: an executive sponsor, a global process owner, and a point person for capturing value. 🌱 People often jump to the conclusion of fixing a problem without properly uncovering the “why” and “where” a problem is occurring and the interdependencies of a process. Instead of opting for a temporary solution, slow down and deploy your solution at the root cause level for sustained impact. 🌐 One of the biggest challenges in process improvement is taking action. You don’t need process mining for analytics, there are many tools in the market that can provide you with that. You need process mining for action; this is where value is unlocked. Scope out the cost of change (taking organizational nuances into account), pick the big impact items, and be diligent in following through on the identified areas of action. Thank you to Leslie for sharing her knowledge and expertise and to Christine Hunter for moderating the discussion. 🔑 If you attended, what was your key takeaway? #womeninprocessmining #womenintech #processmining #virtualevent #processintelligence #networking #voicesofthecommunity
