From a hardware wholesaler with two employees to a global market leader with more than 88,000 employees: This impressive development is the life’s work of Prof. Reinhold Würth, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group. Family and friends, numerous guests from the worlds of politics, business and the arts as well as the company management congratulated Professor Reinhold Würth during a ceremony at Carmen Würth Forum in the German town of Künzelsau. „I stand before you, immensely grateful, and in all modesty and humility, knowing that I would never have achieved the success we are seeing today without the hard work and the loyalty of these 88,000 people from all these different cultures, different backgrounds, with different nationalities, and different religions,“ said Professor Würth. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also offered his congratulations on this special occasion: “It is thanks to entrepreneurs like Professor Reinhold Würth that Germany has such a strong economy. His entrepreneurial courage and his tireless commitment to the company and its employees are impressive and deserve my respect and admiration. A day in the life of craftspeople: New insights and valuable experiences Yesterday, I had the opportunity to spend a day with one of our valued customers. As part of the Würth Group's campaign "Managers Lend a Hand", I had the pleasure of getting to know one of Würth Germany's customers from a completely different perspective. From the very first minute, I was impressed by the passion and dedication with which the team at Baierlein GmbH works. Every move is precise, and the foresight with which they complete their tasks is remarkable. I was able to assist with various projects, from sanding and finishing wooden window frames to installing the finished windows on the building site. In the process, I learned a lot about the technical aspects and the importance of quality and precision. I was particularly impressed by the innovation and flexibility that is lived in this craft business. Despite the daily challenges, they always find new ways to optimize their processes and provide their customers with the best possible service. This inspiring attitude shows how important it is to always be open to changes and improvements. At the Würth Group, we strive to become the best and most qualified supplier in the eyes of our customers. That's why we aim to provide services that seamlessly integrate into our customers' crafts and help them to save time and focus on their core business. A big thank you to the entire Baierlein GmbH team and especially to Andreas, Liane Aschenbrenner and Marius Aschenbrenner for the warm welcome and the instructive hours. 🎂 2024 marks the second year of the Würth Group's #ManagersLendAHand initiative. 🛠️ The idea: rolling up our sleeves and working side by side with our customers to show our immense appreciation for the incredible work they do every day. 👏 👨🏫 Professor Würth often says, “We don’t just want to satisfy our customers, we want to inspire them.” Whether I lived up to that ambition yesterday while sporting my Würth MODYF Germany workwear and Würth Deutschland safety gloves at Reisbüro and Omnibusbetriebe Wissmüller... well, I’m not so sure. 😆 But I gave it my best shot, and hey — no injuries or insurance claims, so I’ll count that as a win! 😅 🚌 Spending the day supporting the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of over 80 buses taught me a great deal about our customers’ challenges, our products and services, and where we can improve. 💡 It was also a nostalgic trip down memory lane — having grown up in Michelstadt (where Wissmüller is located), I’ve spent more hours in Wissmüller buses than I can count! 🚍 And if you guessed I was never one of the kids sitting in the last row of the bus, you’re absolutely right! But that's beside the point. 😉 🤜🤛 A huge thank you to Karl Reinhard, Alexander, and Martin Wissmüller for welcoming me into your great company, and to Matthias Gold and Andre Kreher for putting up with me. Take your ties off and roll up your sleeves! Currently, the initiative "Managers Lend a Hand" by Würth Group is taking place again. In this campaign, our top management executives roll up their sleeves and work with our customers on site. What concerns do our customers have? What is important to them? How can we support them even better with our products and services? We want to better understand the needs of our customers. This is why more than 1,000 executives from nearly 190 Würth Group companies worldwide are immersing themselves in the daily work of our customers for a day by lending them a hand. This time, I worked in the woodworking trade at the company Gebert in Neuenstein, Germany, which has been a Würth Deutschland and GRASS Group customer for over 25 years. From kitchens to living room tables, they craft custom-made furniture using traditional woodworking methods. For Würth, for example, they also made the tables in the company restaurant at the headquarters in Künzelsau. For me, carpentry and joinery are among the most beautiful trades because they create incredibly amazing products. At the company Gebert, I tried my hand at installing doors myself. My takeaway: There is an incredible amount of work and precision involved in installing a door. Because if the job isn't done cleanly, it might never function properly throughout its entire life. For instance, if the door isn't perfectly aligned, it will always swing shut. This experience showed me once again how important it is to be on site with our customers to see with your own eyes the challenges they face every day. My deepest respect goes to all the crafts- and tradespeople out there. I am truly impressed by what our customers achieve every day. I am grateful for this experience, and I will incorporate it into my work when I put my tie back on. #wuerthgroup #würth #managerslendahand #mlh

Royal visit to Hohenlohe 👑🏆 Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden visited the Hohenlohe region last weekend and was presented with the Dr. Carl Linder Award by the Peter Linder Foundation during an award ceremony. Würth hosted the award ceremony on its premises. Johannes Schmalzl, Chairman of the Board of the Würth Foundation, presented the Queen with a donation check for EUR 100,000 from the charitable Würth Foundation for her social commitment to World Childhood Foundation and Desideria Care e.V. amongst others. In addition, the Queen of Sweden was given an insight into Würth’s strong commitment in the areas of art and culture as well as social affairs and education. The Peter Linder Foundation, which was founded in 2010, has created the Dr. Carl Linder Award to honor services to society.
