Fueling next-gen innovation: #FundingNews from autarkize and ExoMatter 💸💸 autarkize from Batch #15 has successfully closed a € 2.3 M seed funding round, led by HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and supported by Dutch impact investor Fair Capital Impact Fund, Interface Capital, Innovation for Impact, Floris Capital GmbH and renowned business angels Lucas von Fürstenberg and Ulrich Blessing. This funding will help the start-up to accelerate their expansion especially in the areas of biogas technology and heat and steam production, crucial for decarbonizing industrial processes and creating large-scale CO2 sinks. Their innovative technology converts biogenic residues - like waste wood and fermentation by-products - into renewable gas and certified biochar. The company is pioneering a new approach to materials research with its AI-driven platform, which combines artificial intelligence with quantum chemical modeling to enable companies to discover and optimize new materials. This technology accelerates the process by up to 90% compared to traditional methods, while also reducing costs and greenhouse gas emissions, making the entire process more efficient and sustainable. But they are among the most important for our teams. Sharing your progress, obstacles and challenges among peers is powerful. Often it's a problem of not seeing the forest for all the trees. And peers will be sure to understand your struggle. More often than not, they will have experienced it themselves! 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 ... 🎶 ... 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 DeepTech Alliance 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵! While our cross-#European programs really get together the best of the best in their field, it can feel a bit unreal across the big distances. 🌍 This is why we kick off our accelerator programs with a big physical event - to unleash the real power of our #DeepTech network! This time, we hosted the kickoff at UnternehmerTUM in Munich. We brought together 20 international corporates and 20 scale-ups from more than 10 European countries for two days of workshops, pitches and inspiration. For example: 👨🎓 Sascha Schwarz of TUM Venture Labs showed us around Technical University of Munich and introduced us to the 12 different venture labs that help launch #deeptech companies in fields such as robotics, aerospace, healthcare, and built environment. 🚀 Stefan Drüssler from UnternehmerTUM introduced us to Munich's start-up ecosystem and how deeply it is connected to the wider European entrepreneurial scene through the RISE initiative pushed by a team around Helmut Schoenenberger. 🎙 Industry and investment experts like Antti Rantanen (EFESO Nordics) and Koen Geurts (HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds) shared their perspective on the future of deeptech in manufacturing. We were thrilled to see how start-ups, investors and corporates immediately connected over mutual interests. The conversations sparked by the pitches continued until late in the evenings... and will fuel the teams during the weeks to come! 🔥 Thanks to all involved in the organizing around the event and to the entire DeepTech Alliance community for making it such a fun get-together! 🤩

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝘂𝗽𝘀, 𝗩𝗖𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝘀 🤝 We've just wrapped up an incredible XCONNECT 2, where we had the pleasure of hosting around 80 guests, including VCs, business angels, corporate partners and our start-ups from Batch #16, as well as alumni from our network 🚀 The event took place at the impressive KPMG building, providing the perfect setting for an evening filled with opportunities and valuable connections. ▶️ The night kicked off with reverse pitches from leading players, including Nemetschek Group, Burda Principal Investments, Deutsche Bank, Bayern Kapital, HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds and UVC Partners. ▶️ One of the highlights was a speed dating session where start-ups had the opportunity to engage directly with BMW i Ventures, Bayern Kapital, UVC Partners, Burda Principal Investments, Nemetschek Group, HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds, Tiburon, neosfer and Lakestar. ▶️ We ended the night with networking over drinks and snacks, where a relaxed atmosphere helped foster meaningful connections.
