A few days ago, I had the opportunity to spend two intensive days at YASKAWA Europe in Allershausen, working on pushing forwards my open-source implementation of the SRCI interface 🚀 As promised In my previous post, I’m now sharing some insights and details from this visit: During the tests, we successfully tested the following hardware setups: • MotoMini with YRC1000 Micro 🤖 • HC20DTP with YRC1000 🤖 • Debug Controller 🛠️ The HC20DTP is an impressive combination of two robots in one: a 20kg Cobot and a high-performance industrial robot. We were able to control the robots successfully, but to be honest, we had to invest quite a bit of time and effort into debugging in order to resolve some issues before we could get the robot moving . Due to the limited time, we weren’t able to resolve all the problems sustainably, and there are still a few “homework” tasks left to complete. 📚 Yaskawa supports my project and they kindly offered me a Debug Controller to help resolve the remaining issues, which will be essential for the next steps. Additionally, Yaskawa set up a PLC to help with debugging on their side – a great example of collaboration and support. YASKAWA Europe, thank you very much for your support !
