But as we embrace the joy of cycling, let’s address the elephant in the room: #Safety. 📈 Did you know that cyclist fatalities have risen by 50% in Europe and a staggering 88% in the Western Pacific over the last decade? This increase is due in part to the electrification of bicycles, which is increasing ridership but also posing challenges in cities that lack adequate bicycle infrastructure. Of particular concern is the increase in e-bike use among older populations, who are at higher risk of serious injury or death in traffic crashes.
