𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞? 🤔🏢 We asked ourselves this trendy question because we believe that face-to-face discussions are extremely beneficial to 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 in a corporate environment.💡Part of the answer has to be to create value for the employee, to find an advantage in coming back to the office more regularly, to feel good and to engage more often with each other. 🎯 In our value stream organisation, we rely on regular, self-initiated impulses from employees, and one solution came directly from the workforce: "We simply redesign our existing office space and create a space for 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠. A lounge with free warm and cold drinks and a cosy atmosphere to relax and work at the same time." ☕🍵🛋️ As part of a project, a handful of Barthelme employees created this space from leftover office furniture and space constructions - a reuse and second life approach. ♻️ Nice! 💫 🟦 𝐀 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 🔹An unused wooden plant structure was transformed into a giant, cosy staircase of seating. 🪜 🔹An old exhibition stand turned into a bar. 🍹 🔹A video projector and a vintage games console for playing games or watching films together during breaks or at events. (🔜)🎮🎞️ 🔹A hook board was integrated for staff postcards, greetings, jokes, surveys & messages. 📬 🔹A very special room scent dispenser creates a "signature effect" and an immediate sense of well-being. 🌸🌿 🔹And there are many more additions in the pipeline. 🛠️🚀 The most important thing is that a group of employees, regardless of their specific role and hierarchy in the company, maintain the room themselves - this is the most effective way to build bridges between departments. 🤝 A nice cup of tea or coffee is just one more thing to look forward to on your way to the office... don't you think? ☕😊 ➡️ What are your ideas for creating "value" for employees to come back to the office and make them feel good? 🙂
