Air Liquide Engineering & Construction hat dies direkt geteilt
Last week, we got exciting news for the Group and Air Liquide Engineering & Construction teams! Air Liquide announced that it is selected to invest up to 850 million dollars to build, own and operate four Large Modular Air separation units as well as related infrastructure, in the framework of a long-term binding agreement with ExxonMobil for its planned low-carbon hydrogen project in Baytown, Texas. Upon final investment decision, this major project would mark the largest industrial investment in the history of the Air Liquide Group, enabling Air Liquide to increase its oxygen production capacity by 50% in Texas! Some details about the project: The units will be able to supply a record volume of 9,000 metric tons per day of oxygen and 6,500 metric tons per day of nitrogen to support the production of ExxonMobil. Amongst other uses, it will be used to synthesize low-carbon hydrogen into low-carbon ammonia as a source of low-carbon energy for the export market. They provide a step-change both in terms of production output and energy consumption optimization, as they use 25% less electricity to make each tonne of oxygen. In addition, the plants are planned to be primarily powered by renewable and low-carbon electricity, further reducing the carbon footprint of the project. Concretely, it represents approximately 20,000 cubic meters of concrete, 5km of pipes and 300 km of power and control cables I would like to sincerely thank the Air Liquide Engineering & Construction teams who worked hand in hand with the Air Liquide teams and contributed to this unprecedented milestone by developing the technology solution and working on project execution. It is another example of how, together as one team, we can actively support our customers and contribute to the decarbonization of the industry. This is just the beginning, but together, we are building a low-carbon future for all! https://lnkd.in/dvjmKg_n

Air Liquide was pleased to join Siemens Energy for their Experience Days 2024 in Germany on June 26 & 27. This event, held at their Berlin site, and home to the Siemens Energy gas turbine manufacturing & Innovation Center and the Air Liquide / Siemens Energy joint venture multi-gigawatt #electrolyzer factory, focused on the key theme of energy resilience – step by step: #partnering up for a secure, #sustainable, and affordable net-zero future. Our esteemed executive, Dominique Rouge, had the pleasure of joining a panel discussion on the #decarbonization of #industries and its transformative impact. He shared valuable insights for the #refining and #chemicals industries and discussed Air Liquide’s pathway to bring key #renewablehydrogen projects from ambition to reality, highlighting: 👉 Trailblazer: A 20 MW large-scale electrolyzer supplying renewable hydrogen and oxygen to key industries and mobility, accelerating the decarbonization of the Rhine-Ruhr industrial basin. 👉 Normand’Hy: A 200 MW PEM electrolyzer in Port-Jérôme, France, which will supply renewable hydrogen for industrial and heavy mobility applications, avoiding the emission of 250,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. 📢 More exciting news from Siemens Energy was the announcement of the new name of their suite of #scalable and #reliable electrolyzer family: ⭐ Elyzer ⭐ A special appreciation and congratulations to the Siemens Energy team: Alexey Ustinov, Manuel Kuehn, Luca Falso, Peter Adam, Fenna Bleyl, Ute Rohr and Kamila Ishbulatova. Together, we are making strides towards a sustainable energy future!
