On today's International Women's Day, my takeaway is that, despite visible progress, we must continue to work for equity, diversity, and inclusion. If we focus on the sheer numbers, for example regarding women in leadership positions, we have reached 25% in Performance Chemicals, which brings us closer to BASF's goal of having 30% of all leadership positions filled by women by 2030. But it's not just about numbers! It's about the working environment we create: Personally, I feel most energized when I work in a diverse team that respects, values and trusts each other's unique strenghts and perspectives.
