Is #ClimateChange hurting corn harvests where they're needed most? Not if Bayer can help it. Rising temperatures can eat into #corn yields, especially in Africa. But technology -- like hybrid seeds that need less water and corn that resists insects and drought -- can help save production of this staple crop. Find out more here in The Wall Street Journal's #SeedsOfChange series.

Farmers helping farmers -- it's a way of life. A big thank you to all the #SmallholderFarmers who help feed the world, and to growers like #TeamBayer's Jose de la Paz, who brings his lived experience to work each day to help support #HealthForAll and #HungerForNone.
Farmers are the backbone of their local communities’ food security. In fact, smallholder farmers produce 1/3 of all food worldwide and more than 50% of the food consumed in low-and middle-income countries. But this is a tough row to hoe alone. Many smallholder farmers find themselves lacking the local services or support they need that could enable them to produce a fruitful harvest and support themselves and their family. That is where someone like Jose comes in. Jose knows these challenges firsthand because he lived it himself. But now he is in a position to share knowledge and best practices and provide services at a local level. He witnesses the huge positive impact this type of initiative has on smallholder farmers in his region of Honduras. At Bayer, we want to live up to our role and responsibility as an impact generator. And we are redesigning the company to focus on what’s essential for our mission: #HealthForAll #HungerForNone. Thank you, Jose – and thank you to all the farmers around the world who are playing an important role in making this happen.

Promoting soil health is a big win for our planet -- and it can be a win for farmers as well. Cover crops, crops planted between seasons, protect soils when no other crop is growing. But some farmers are hesitant to use cover crops because they don't typically generate revenue. CoverCress™ can be harvested as a #renewable fuel feedstock while also having the benefits of a cover crop, offering a potential revenue stream without using new land, new equipment or new resources. This is what #RegenerativeAgricultrue is all about.
