At the #desmahousefair, visitors could experience how fast a shoe can come to life. ito ito revealed the first version of the software platform #RubyShoe which connects #design and #manufacturing of 3D-printed or injection moulded soles with knitted shoe uppers in one integrated solution. "With RubyShoe users can move from the first idea to a finished product in their hands in 30 minutes. The secret behind the software is the automated generation of machine readable data based on design and material choices in real-time" (Florian Pfeffer, ito ito). After an eventful first day, we had a great evening event with customers, partners and DESMA employees at the local restaurant "Meyer Bierden". The first day of the DESMA House Fair is in full progress and we are happy about the many visitors! We'd like to share some statements of our co-exhibitors. We talked to Johannes Dederer from #Huntsman's Technical Service department who stands in front of an injection moulding machine that can produce #lightweight and #recyclable TPU soles using a new technology. Material manufacturer Huntsman is one of the long-standing exhibitors at the DESMA House Fair. "We like to use the trade fair as a platform for exchanging ideas with customers and presenting new technical developments" says Dederer. This year, Huntsman will be presenting #Smartlite-O technology, which can be used to produce fully recyclable soles on DESMA machines. DESMA receives PFI Eco label 🍀 Klaus Freese, DESMA Managing Director and DESMA Quality Manager Harald Kleinschmidt received the PFI-Eco Label today from the hands of Institute Director Dr Kerstin Schulte. The label confirms that DESMA actively contributes to #climate protection, promotes the transition to a #circular economy, protects ecosystems, promotes energy efficiency and utilises renewable energies.
