Researchers at any career stage from HDR UK Institute Member Organisations or Helmholtz Centers Germany are eligible. For students, supervisor approval is required. 💰 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿? Up to £30K per person to cover travel and related costs for projects lasting a few days up to six months. All expenses must be justified in the application. 🗓️ 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: The awards must be utilized by March 31, 2025. Ambient #AirPollution affects our #Health. However, our new study found that reductions in air pollution levels do not necessarily lead to changes in the associated #Mortality risk. Our researchers, led by first author Maximilian Schwarz, used a longitudinal, multi-level meta-analytical approach to analyze data from 380 cities in 24 countries between 1995 and 2016 in the #MCC Collaborative Research Network. The results highlight the complexity of ambient air pollution, especially under changing conditions over time.
