Solar thermal technologies can be implemented globally, however many companies from the solar thermal industry act rather locally.
This is specially true for the Latin American region. Brazil 🇧🇷 is the largest market for solar water heating but there are no Brazilian companies active in Mexico 🇲🇽 , the second largest market (please correct me if I am mistaken). Nevertheless, there is a close collaboration between market players from Mexico 🇲🇽, Panama 🇵🇦 and Colombia 🇨🇴 for instance.
I believe it is worth strengthening the links amongst the companies from the whole LATAM region truly committed with delivering a clean heat supply with high quality solar heating and cooling technologies. Learning from each other and opening new business opportunities could be some of the outcomes. From my point of view, jointly presenting the impressive expertise available in the region is a must.
Usually, the articles we read in the specialized press are from Europe, leaving behind the exciting projects being implemented in the American Continent and particularly in non-English speaking countries. Marketing budgets are still not as big to exhibit at international trade shows for many, and so on.
Therefore, I was more than happy to gather this group of #HeatChangers from LATAM at an industry event in Mexico.
Collector manufacturers 🇲🇽:
Módulo Solar, Tecnosol and H Solar México
System integrators:
Distrito Energía 🇲🇽, Neo Energy 🇵🇦 and Swissol 🇨🇷
Also, I try to share as much information as possible about the accomplishments of the industry in this region. Either at different fora in Europe or through the Heat Changers communication channels.
Last but not least, I started a WhatsApp group to connect with the people from the industry I work closely together with.
Certainly, the group could be larger. Get in touch if you want to be part of the next family picture, have content worth sharing about success stories or want to connect with the rest of the solar thermal LATAM gang!
