THE FIZZ Europe hat dies direkt geteilt
Last Friday, we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of our legendary THE FIZZ Europe in Berlin. I am both happy and proud to share some incredible pictures from the memorable event, as well as the speech dedicated to the house and our fantastic team at International Campus Group. In autumn 2014, it all began. With big ideas, dreams, and a whole lot of team spirit. Students were supposed to get a house for themselves in Berlin. In the best location, right in the middle of everything. A house for living, studying, and life. With events, community, and service. Clubs right next door — it couldn’t get any better. At first, it sounded like this… • Upon completion, 212 fully furnished, high-quality apartments with private bathrooms and kitchenettes will be available. • The rental phase for the student accommodation begins in July 2014. Whatever. The students loved it immediately. THE FIZZ Berlin was full. And it remained that way. In 2016, SPIEGEL critically recognized that luxury dorms were becoming trendy. Trend? Two people at THE FIZZ never cared about trends. Patrick and Jens. The voice, the hand, and the shoulder. Referee and shield. Sometimes letting things slide, sometimes a little speech, sometimes a yellow card, and occasionally even a red card or the big stick. But always acting with sensitivity, in a Berlin style, and keeping things in order. Everything was always just fine. Thanks to you and everyone who shaped, maintained, developed, and preserved the house, it turned out great and, yes, it has now become an institution in the neighborhood and a legend for International Campus Group. Over 3,000 people have lived here. Many didn’t know who they were, what they were, what they wanted, or anything at all. But one thing they all knew: this house was their home. And when Berlin got too loud, it was always cozy here. To put it in Prussian terms: Everyone could be happy here in their own way — provided they paid the rent. There are many stories, and some remarkable finds serve as witnesses to the times. THE FIZZ Berlin has seen it all and always remained true to itself. Life has lived here for the past 10 years. The heart of IC has always beaten here, even in turbulent times — sometimes stronger, sometimes gentler, but never cold. That’s how it should continue here on Köpeniker Straße. Here’s to the next 10 years! #studenthousing #studentlife #pbsa #urbanliving #kreuzberg
