Discover the incredible yooouuutuuube.com effect !

Hello everybody. It's not really a "Tech" article today, it's all about animation. And this yooouuutuuube.com effect is pretty incredible as you will see. By the way, i didn't do any mistake when i typed the word, this web site is really called yooouuutuuube.com, and you will understand why in a minute.

Now, what's so magical with this yooouuutuuube.com? Well, yooouuutuuube.com is a web site that allows you to create an amazing frame-by-frame video wall display. And all you have to do is to enter the URL of your choice of a YouTube video and choose the pixel size that you wish for every image, and that's it! It takes less than one minute, it's totally free, and visually speaking the effect is awesome!

Really? Yes, really! Let's take as first example the brand new "Princess and the Frog" trailer. To have a look at the yooouuutuuube.com effect with it CLICK HERE and come back after, as there is more to see!

In my opinion the effect works great with animated films - like this editing of Alice in Wonderland with an electronic song on it. Click HERE to see it.

I did another try with the "You can fly" sequence from Peter Pan, but you have to wait that the song begin. Click HERE to see it.

It's also spectacular with music videos. Have a look at this one that i did for you using Britney Spears "Toxic" video clip. Click HERE to see it.

When i saw this amazing and-so-easy-to-do effect i thought that it should work well with a fireworks sequence. I found one of the new Tokyo Disneyland fireworks, and, bingo!, it looks great! (please note that the fireworks will begin after the first 15 seconds). Click HERE to see it.

By the way, the yooouuutuuube video effect never stops! which mean that you can use it as a wallpaper video for your computer if you wish. To stop, simply go back to the previous page.

Now, as i am sure that some of you would like to try with your own video choice, here is the link for the yooouuutuuube.com main page. Remember: all you have to do is to introduce a youtube url and to choose the pixels size of each image, and that's it! Very easy, and very spectacular!

If you're happy with your own creation, you can post the link in the comments, we will go to have a look at it! And of course let me know what you think of all this!

Enjoy!

The " Princess and the Frog " Poster !

Well, it's the day of "the Princess and the Frog", and here is above the awaited - and beautiful - poster of the movie!

Picture: copyright Disney

The Princess and the Frog Trailer now on line !!

The highly awaited Princess and the Frog trailer is now on line and all I can say is...Oh my God!! It looks GORGEOUS!!! We are going to have a closer look at it but before, as there IS below a lot of spoilers about different scenes i strongly suggest you to watch the trailer below or in high-def on Apple Trailers, and come back on D&M after you've seen it as there is lot of stunning images below!

As we know, the Princess and the Frog is a fairy tale - based upon the book by E.D. Baker - centered on a young girl named Tiana who lives in New Orleans' French Quarter during the Jazz Age. As we saw before on the first teaser she happened to meet a frog...

The frog explain to her that "he" desperately needs a kiss from her to break the spell ...

As "he" was before a Prince - Prince Naveen - from the land of Maldonia...

We can see the prince arriving and acclaimed by the crowd...

Before being transformed into a frog by the evil scheming voodoo witch doctor Dr. Facilier.

For different reasons that i won't explained now if you haven't seen the trailer yet, Tiana and the frog must find the good voodoo priestess of the Bayou, Mama Odie...

While befriending with a trumpet-playing alligator...

...and a hopelessly romantic firefly along the way.

It looks like the help of Mama Odie will be a precious one...

And, although some of the trailer images shows a happy ending (what a surprise!)...

...there is ONE thing that i won't tell you - specially if you haven't watch the trailer yet, it's what is happening when Tiana finally agrees to kiss the frog...

You have to see the trailer first to discover it!

The trailer also introduce new characters like these musicians of a street Jazz band...

And the early life of Tiana while she was a waitress.

Some other scenes shows gorgeous backdrop like this night scene with the river boat...

...or sophisticated decors like this "fairy tale" bedroom

Graphically speaking Disney animators did outstanding stylisation and colours on the voodoo scenes...

After watching this trailer i can tell you that i have absolutely no doubts that The Princess and the Frog - directed by the highly talented John Musker and Ron Clements - will be a major Disney animated film! I just can't wait for November!

Good news from all around the world

Some interesting good news were released on other web sites the last two days. Honor Hunter of Blue Sky Disney was the first to let us know about the new TDL Monsters Inc ride and Go Seek attraction web site...with new pictures like this one below...

The attraction is a big E-Ticket - probably the major WDI attraction this year - and is opening next month April 15! No need to say that we'll talk again about it.

On Screamscape, their usual good sources are talking about a Princess and the Frog restaurant supposedly to open at WDW. It should include "animatronic figures of some of the film’s characters, including a figure of “Louis” who is a Jazz singing alligator character who apparently does a lot of comedy bits in the film and also plays a trumpet". More about it HERE.

Then, do you remember my Star Tours 2 article two weeks ago? Well, Al Lutz has a GREAT update on Mice Age today, and you'll learn that Star Tours 2 is now schedule for a 2011 opening at Disneyland. And the show will include a guest "facial recognition" new special effect! Al is also giving a lot of news about the future of DCA and DL, so don't miss Al's update!

And tomorrow it will be my Disneyland Paris update, where you will learn all the good things that new palisades can mean. Below, the brand new "Playhouse Disney" entrance sign.

See you tomorrow!

New Princess and the Frog Artwork

Last week, the Walt Disney Company's 2008 Annual Report was released and inside - actually at the very end of it - was a treasure, this new Princess and the Frog artwork.

It's a beautiful one, and it will be even more beautiful when you will double-click on it to see it in big size.

More about " The Princess and the Frog "

Thanks to Honor Hunter of the excellent Blueskydisney website who was the first to let us know about it, we've learned that new art development images of the upcoming Disney animated "The Princess and the Frog" were released on the Walt Disney Animation Studios website.

Let's have a look to them, beginning also by the first teaser of the movie. You probably saw it already, but if you didn't, here it is below with some screen shots. Note that the firefly character appears, too, at the end os this teaser.

The new images, now, showing the Princess in her room...

The Frog in the "Bayou"...

But also other scenes like this one - probably in relation with the "villain" and a "voodoo" atmosphere...

The New-Orleans streets looks gorgeous...

I'm ready to bet that this one show the "home" of the villain...

The Mardi Gras parade in the streets of New-Orleans...

And this looks very much like a finale scene - but i can be wrong...

As we know, "The Princess and the Frog" will be the big return of Disney in the traditional 2D animation, and the film teams Ron Clements and John Musker, creators of “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin,” with Oscar®-winning composer Randy Newman to tell a love story with frogs, voodoo, and a singing alligator! I have a really good feeling with this one - but we have to wait until Christmas 2009 to enjoy the movie!

Tinker Bell thinks her fairy talent as a “tinker” isn’t as special or important as the other fairies’ talents. But when Tink tries to change who she is, she creates nothing but disaster! With encouragement from her friends Rosetta, Silvermist, Fawn and Iridessa, Tink learns the key to solving her problems lies in her unique tinker abilities…and discovers that when she’s true to herself, magical things can happen.

Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and with the help of two unlikely traveling companions – a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voiced by Susie Essman), and TV-obsessed hamster in a plastic ball named Rhino – Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.
