UP! Video Game review

Designed by THQ the UP! video game is now available in a french version for MAC users - and it's of course also available in a Windows version. The game was released in May in the U.S but is now released in France as the movie open in french theatres last week. As i didn't talk about it before, this give me a good opportunity to do an article on this game with quite good graphics.

The Up video game will take players on an exotic adventure with Carl Fredricksen and his young sidekick, Wilderness Explorer Russell, as they set off on a wild journey through the undiscovered jungles of South America. Players will be able to experience all four main characters from the movie - Carl, Russell, Dug the lovable dog or Kevin the prehistoric bird - while playing as a single-player or with a friend cooperatively throughout the entire game. Players will encounter exciting, new environments as they navigate through treacherous jungle terrains, battle dangerous creatures and trek the slippery slopes of the Amazonian Tepuis. In addition, the game also features multi-player game modes, including an epic level that will allow up to four players to compete in aerial combat.

You'll see below a very good quality video review. One last thing: apparently, if you have kids, the game may be a little difficult for kids under 10. Price for European MAC or PC is version is 29.99 euros. Also available for Playstation, PSP, etc...

First UP! trailer , Final Bolt trailer, and more...

Let's end this week-end with four trailers of awaited animated movies, and the first one is the first trailer of Pixar's "UP!".

The second one is the final Bolt trailer - remember the movie will be released soon, on Nov 21!

Here is the first trailer for the Dream Works animated "Monsters Vs Aliens". It will be released March 2009, in 3D, and it looks good!

Universal's production called "The Tale of Despereaux" will be released this Christmas, and the animation looks good, too. It's a modern medieval fairy tale from filmmaker Gary Ross, together with directors Sam Fell & Rob Stevenhagen.

And a bonus one just for the fun - it's not an animated movie trailer, but "Fanboys" is the ultimate Star Wars fans movie! It's 1998 and Star Wars fanboys across the globe eagerly await the release of Episode I. But for Eric, Linus, Hutch and Windows the term "fanboy" is more than just a title, it's a badge of honor. Spurred by impatience and an undying loyalty to their cause, these former high school friends reunite to undertake the road trip of their fan-tasies. Traveling West across the country to visit their Mecca - George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch - the plan is to break in, steal the film and stake their claim as the first fanboys in history to watch it!

You got the idea? Okay, it's gonna be dumb, but probably fun.

First " UP ! " poster, created by Eric Tan

Eric Tan is the great artist who created these stylized retro posters for Wall-E, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and now....UP !

Koyla from the Pixar Planet forums bought to Eric this poster at the San Diego Comic Con, and the creases you can see are in fact part of the design, to give it the look of a folded travel map.
