Disney's Planes Fire and Rescue New Extended Trailer !

A new extended trailer for Disney's Planes Fire and Rescue is released. I'm really waiting for this new Planes movie, the first one was okay but suffered of a plot ( world cup ) a bit too close to the one of Cars 2. But this new one won't have this problem and visually it looks gorgeous!

New Trailer for "Planes, Fire and Rescue" : Thunder

A new trailer for "Planes, Fire and Rescue" has been released. I liked the first one, and specially the quality of animation. My only concern was with the story itself as i thought that the "race around the world" was really too close to the script of Cars 2.

But this won't be the case with this new one and i'm pretty sure that it will be an even better and more enjoyable movie. So, go ahead, watch the trailer!

Planes , Fire and Rescue Trailer 2 !

A new trailer was  released today for "Planes II : Fire and Rescue" and just like the first one the animation looks very good. Now, what about the story, you ask? Here is the Synopsis:

Planes: Fire & Rescue is a new comedy-adventure about second chances, featuring a dynamic crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire. When world famous air racer Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous team, including spirited super scooper Dipper (voice of Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.

I liked the first Planes, the only issue i had with it was this race around the world. Although the idea provided great scenery i thought that the "race" idea reminded a bit too much Cars 2. It won't be the case with this one and the fire sequences should be very spectacular, too. The movie is released in the U.S July 18.

Animation Update: Frozen Teaser Trailer, Planes 2, and more...

The first teaser for Disney's Animation Studios "Frozen" has been released and i sincerely hope that the movie will be better than this 1.51 min. May be you'll be enthusiast but personally seeing a reindeer acting like a dog looks to me like a wrong good idea. Even worst, this teaser might give a wrong image of what the movie really is. Or may be it's me who's wrong...

Anyway, according to the synopsis Frozen tell the story of "Fearless optimist Anna who teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter".

You'll see Olaf the snowman in the teaser below...

...as well as Sven the reindeer

...but not the human characters Anna and Hans, so you'll need to wait a bit more to know what will be the exact tone of this new animated movie which will be released this fall.

On this next one Hans is riding Sven the reindeer.

Always about animated movies Disney announced that Planes will have a sequel to be called "Planes 2 : Fire and Rescue" which will be released summer 2014, and in 3D. Considering the title "Fire and Rescue" no need to be a genius to guess that that this Planes sequel will talk about planes which are sent to extinguish forest fires.

Originally the two films were supposed to have a direct to video release and this might explain why this Planes 2 will be ready for next summer 2014.

Finally, Monsters Inc is released in three days and a ne - last? - clip has been released and this one is called "Star Player". Here it is.

"Planes" Final trailer !

So, the "real" trailer for "Planes" is finally released, and i have to say that the animation - i remind you that it's not a Pixar movie but a Disney animation one - is pretty good. As for the story, as Honor Hunter from Blue Sky Disney said it yesterday this Planes movie looks a lot like "Cars" and even include a "plane race around the world"... That said, i love planes so i'll be one of those who will go and see it as soon as it'll be released!

New " Planes " Trailer Released, It Looks Really Good... And Why The Movie Might Also Be A Trailer For A New Attraction Coming in 2016 At DCA and WDW Epcot !

Disney released at last a real trailer for the upcoming "Planes" movie and i wonder why it took them so long to show us something better than the previous "Top Gun" style shots.  Now it looks not only much better than expected but you will also understand why John Lasseter and Bob Iger decided to release Planes in theater instead than directly on Dvd or Blu Ray.

You can watch the trailer below and as you will see we learn more about the storyline.
Apparently there will be a planes race around the world...

...which will lead the different planes to fly over many countries...

...like India and the famous Taj Mahal...

...to Vietnam's Halong Bay ( or it might be a China landscape )...

...to the north american national parks...

...or even New York.

The animation was done by Disney Studios - not Pixar - and looks really good, so that's a good point. But what is interesting in this planes race around the world is that i wonder if it's not also a way to introduce the new and long awaited  "Soaring over the world'" movie which is not yet officially announced but is in fact scheduled to replace Soarin' Over California at DCA and Epcot in 2016, one year after it will make its debut at Shanghaî Disneyland Adventureland under the title "Soaring Over The Horizon".

And, as i've been told recently that the Soarin' attraction might change its name and become a "Planes" attraction - although the ride system should remain the same - you understand why i make a link between this excellent trailer in which we see planes literally "flying over the horizon", and the Soaring ride itself...

That said, may be there is also another kind of "Planes" ride coming as Mark Hickson, former Imagineer, revealed on his excellent site Disney by Mark that he has been told by an insider source that the new WDI patent called "Twister Ride System" would be used for a "Planes" ride. You can see more patent sketches as well as an explanation of this twister ride system on Mark's site HERE.

I'm sure we will know more about all this pretty soon, may be at the next D23 Expo in three months.

Anyway, in the meantime here is the Planes trailer, hope you'll enjoy it!

Disney " Planes " Poster and Characters revealed

So, if i can judge by the number of characters in the movie, it seems that Disney intend to do with the upcoming Planes movie what they did with Cars, i.e to release not only a movie where planes talk and have a life by themselves but also to bring some cash in with a whole series of planes merchandise items. And why not, after all? Kids and even adults - and even me! - always loved miniature planes and these ones looks great, as you will see below!

They didn't forget the vehicles working on the tarmac, and some might remind you others characters from another movie... but that's all right.

All the question now is: how good this Planes movie will be. Supposedly to be released directly in video, Planes will finally be released in theaters on August 9 and, personally, as i always loved planes i sincerely hope that it will be good. In the meantime you can have a look below to the teaser trailer!

First Trailer of Disney's " Planes " Animated Movie

A first trailer of the coming amimated movie "Planes" appeared on Youtube yesterday and then was removed by Disney and it looks not that bad. just like i Cars, the planes have eyes, mouth and talks and it will be interesting to see the quality of the animation when it will be released by Disney in 2013, directly on DVD.

Planes takes off with an international cast of the fastest air racers around, in a comedy packed with action and adventure starring Dusty, a small town dreamer who longs to enter the most epic around-the-world air race... despite his fear of heights. With the help and support of a fleet of new and hilarious characters, Dusty wings his way into the biggest challenge of his life.

The trailer shows him on an aircraft carrier

...surrounded by jet fighters.

John Frost on the Disney Blog noticed how the trailer looks like Top Gun and he's right. Although Top Gun is not my favorite movie - it's the least i can say - i'm curious to see more of this "Planes" movie. But for now, have a look at the trailer, not available any more on Youtube as i've said, but i find it on another site for you.

New Cars 2 character is a Plane, and his name is Siddeley

Pixar introduced today a new Cars 2 character, and this one is not a car but a plane. Here is Pixar's description of the character, named Siddeley: "Siddeley is a state-of-the-art British twin-engine spy jet. At 176 feet from nose to tail and an impressive 157-foot wingspan, the super sleek silver-bodied Siddeley streaks through international skies at record-breaking mach 1 speeds. Outfitted with all the latest in high-tech spy equipment, including cloaking technology, defensive weaponry and afterburners, Siddeley is Finn McMissile’s steadfast partner-in-fighting-crime around the globe."

Talking about planes, i remind you that Disney announced last week the production of an animated movie called "Planes" which will be released on Blu-Ray in Spring 2013. However and although it is said to be inspired by Pixar universe, it's Disney Toon Studio and not Pixar who will do the film. I would have prefer to have it done by Pixar of course, but that's how it goes.

Here is the synopsis of "Planes": "Planes takes off with an international cast of the fastest air racers around, in a comedy packed with action and adventure starring Dusty, a small town dreamer who longs to enter the most epic around-the-world air race … despite his fear of heights. With the help and support of a fleet of new and hilarious characters, Dusty wings his way into the biggest challenge of his life."

Mind you, it will not be the first time that Disney produces an animated movie in which the main characters are planes. Back in 1942, a plane character named Pedro had a whole sequence in "Saludos Amigos". Don't remember him? Then watch him in the Youtube video below!
