If i was a Magician...

If i was a magician, i will buy this plush of "Alec the Amazing Rabbit" - yes, the one from "Presto" - at Disney Shopping right now. And i will order two of them.

Why, you ask? Well, because not only this plush looks exactly like the Presto's character, but its size - 28" H from ear to toe - is probably big enough to install a mechanical system inside. I mean: to create a kind of small audio-animatronic. Then a real magician could do a show inspired by the short animated story line, except the final scene, of course. Magicians shows always use special effects, so, no big deal for Las Vegas wizards to re-create some of Presto's scenes. And as we know there is enough fun material in Presto's story to create a funny show!



Now, if i was NOT a magician and if i had young children between 3 and 5 years old who've loved this wonderful Pixar short animated, i will ALSO buy the plush, and then organize for one of my children's birthday a party with a magician - or i will personally perform some easy magic act. And at the end of the show i will have this plush of Alec the rabbit magically appearing from a magic hat - and of course will give it as a birthday present. Won't it be cool?

Nothing difficult or impossible, and if you perform the magic act yourself, it even won't be expensive as this Alec the Rabbit plush cost only $29.95 at Disney Shopping!

Now, if i was a WDI imagineer instead of a magician (although WDI wizards ARE kind of magicians) i would think about how it could be possible to create a nice "Presto" show for a Disney theme park. I'm sure Disneyland's guests will love it.

New Pixar short movie "Presto" now available on ITunes Store !

The new Pixar short movie "Presto" is already available on the U.S ITunes Store for $1.99 ! Those of you who live in the U.S will see it just before Wall-E, but many other countries - like France where Wall-E is release only on July 30th - will have to wait one more month to discover it.

Now, everybody in the world can buy "Presto" on the ITunes Store IF you have a U.S ITunes Store account. And to have a U.S ITunes Store account, you need not only an adress in the U.S, but also a U.S credit card or bank account. If you do NOT have a U.S bank account, your last chance to order Presto is to have a friend in the U.S who can order and download it for you. And if you don't have an american friend, then you just gotta wait for Presto to be release on your local ITunes Store....and it can take a looong time - in France, for instance, last year Pixar short "Lifted" is still not available on the french ITunes Store - i know, it's absurd, but it's the sad truth...

Only 30 more days to wait before the release of TWO new Pixar movies !

I know, i am supposed to have some rest according to my previous announcement, but i enjoy so much doing this blog that i can't stop self-transgression! To come back to the title of this topic, yes, in 30 days we will have not one, but two new Pixar productions! You all know the first one - the big movie - i.e " Wall-E ", but as usual with each new long animated feature, there will be a " short " animated, and this one is called " Presto ". And we all know how good the Pixar shorts can be - remember " Lifted " last year?



As Bill Desowitz excellent article learn us " Presto is a slapstick ode to Warner Bros. and Tom and Jerry toons, in which a turn-of-the-century magician finds himself in a hilarious onstage feud with his hungry rabbit. Talk about a carrot and stick reversal. Presto, the magician, has never experienced such humiliation, as the crafty rabbit, Alec, gives him a taste of his own supernatural hocus pocus."
