🚀 Engineering for Global Health 🌍🔧 In the first of a two-part workshop, in collaboration with the medical student organization #SMIT (Studentermedicinsk Forening for Infektions- og Tropemedicin), ECE engineering students have worked alongside medical students from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen and DTU - Technical University of Denmark and medical professionals, applying their skills to repair medical equipment for hospitals in Tanzania. The repaired equipment is set to arrive in Tanzania this July, where medical students will assist in its implementation and training of local healthcare professionals. Biomedical engineering expertise has been key to ensuring the optimal function of the equipment, and ECE Associate Professor Samuel Alberg Thrysøe was there to guide and assist. This is engineering at its best – collaborating to solve real-world problems and making a difference 🙏. The second workshop will take place on March 27th, and everyone interested in contributing is welcome to attend.
