𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 💧🌎 Yesterday, we had the pleasure to welcome a US delegation of water professionals from California and Texas.   They were here on a fact-finding tour visiting Danish water utilities as well as a number of companies including AVK.   Michael Ramlau-Hansen from AVK Holding introduced them to AVK, our history and our products. Afterwards, Business Development Director in AVK Smart Water, Gerner Knudsen presented our AVK Smart Water solutions.   The delegation was also shown around in our Showroom at AVK International and had a tour of the production facility. The tour was arranged by The Water Technology Alliance (WTA) program under The Trade Council in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.   The purpose of WTA is knowledge sharing between the North American and Danish water industry to promote the exchange of views and experiences within the water and wastewater field.   It is a collaboration between American utilities and authorities and Danish utilities and companies. The collaboration originates in an agreement between the Californian state government and the Danish government, which was signed in 2016.   Both AVK Holding A/S and American AVK Company actively participate in this collaboration, where we contribute with knowledge about our role in relation to the Danish water supply and wastewater management.   These inputs are then translated into American terms, with American AVK playing the major role.   #ExpectAVK #AVKgroup #cooperation #partnership #AVKSmartWater

𝐖𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 💙 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝟑𝐃 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. Every day, AVK solutions help deliver clean water and sustainable energy to millions of people in households and industries all over the world. Innovation is essential to AVK and one of our five core values that act as our guiding principles and set the direction for how we run our business. We focus on innovation and development of new and optimised products of high quality and with a long lifespan. With an innovative approach to the development and design of our products and solutions, we remain adaptive to current and future market demands. Recently, when we had to update some plastic moulds for some of our existing products, the Tech department in AVK Holding A/S together with AVK International and AVK Plast A/S wanted to investigate how we could update the design. In one of the cases, we had a product that needed a lot of machining of the top. To solve that challenge we chose to 3D print the entire inner core in a larger injection moulding tool. The 3D print is produced by the Danish Technological Institute. “3𝐷 𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑒𝑐ℎ𝑛𝑜𝑙𝑜𝑔𝑦 ℎ𝑎𝑠 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑠𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑚𝑎𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑠 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑛𝑒𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑟𝑦. By means of 3D printing we can now control the heat development in the tool, we have complete control over the process, and, in the end, we achieve a higher quality. It marks an important milestone for AVK in its efforts to strengthen efficiency and sustainability in production. 30 years ago, AVK International got the very first robot. Recently, they have invested in a fully automatic robot solution that handles, installs and controls 31 different varieties of valves for drinking water, weighing from 3.6 to 54 kilograms. The robot system has been designed in cooperation with AVK International, AVK Holding and the automation company KILDE Automation. In addition, several employees have played a major role in the development of the robot solution, sharing their knowledge and inputs to get the best possible solution for AVK. “𝐼𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑎𝑛 𝑒𝑥𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑒 𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑚, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑘𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑡ℎ𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑎𝑠𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡 𝑒𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑡 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑚 𝑚𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑝𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑜𝑡 𝑠𝑦𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑚 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑎 𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡 𝑠𝑢𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠.” – Bo Johansen, COO, AVK Group. The cooperation between KILDE Automation, AVK and not least the many AVK employees has resulted in AVK not only increasing the efficiency and quality of the production, but also making AVK more competitive and strengthening the working environment for employees. “𝑊𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑞𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑣𝑒𝑠, 𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑑 𝑚𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑛𝑒-𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑑, 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑦 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔. 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 = 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬 💧💪 AVK's longtime partner, Aarhus Vand, has established a leak detection field and we recently attended the grand opening of it. The purpose of the field is to train and educate the water operators of the future in finding leaks on water pipes. National and international water operators will face all the challenges that reality can present in relation to leak detection. Small "pitfalls" have been inserted in the form of leaks of different sizes and locations. The leak track is located under grass, gravel, asphalt, and tiles. Water pipes in different materials have also been used.   In the real world, we sometimes don't know where water pipes are located. The track is therefore designed so that training in identifying the location of a water pipe is also possible. It is hoped that operators from Denmark and abroad will use the track and become better at finding leaks and thus reducing water loss.   At AVK we work focused to reduce water loss in water distribution to be part of the solution to ensure clean drinking water for everyone. AVK is one of the partners in the project and sees great opportunities in the field. “𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑘 𝑑𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑓𝑖𝑒𝑙𝑑 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡 𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑢𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑐𝑎𝑠𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑛𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘, 𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑁𝑜𝑛-𝑅𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑢𝑒 𝑊𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑢𝑙𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑦 𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑔𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑢𝑚𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑤𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑏𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛,” says Anders Thomassen, Sales Director, AVK Danmark. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 🌍 The design and concept of the field can be used elsewhere in the world. In Ghana, Aarhus Vand is building a leak detection field at the Ghana Water Institute, which educates people in leak detection for the whole of Ghana. Here, the water loss is around 50% and therefore the prospects for training are great. In this video 👇 you can learn more about the leak detection field. 👉 Contact us if you want hear more about the possibility to visit and try the track. The leakage detection field is established by Aarhus Vand in partnership with Kamstrup, GRUNDFOS, HeyPipe, Water Valley Denmark, the City of Aarhus and AVK. #AVKgroup #watersupply #watermanagement #nrw #expectAVK AVK Smart Water

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 💧💪 A new class of water experts just completed this year's Advanced Water Cycle Management Course, fully updated on the latest trends and technologies. On Sunday, this year’s AWCMC participants left Låsby with their diplomas in hand, eager to go out and influence the future water industry. Congratulations to them all, and cheers to a future with better water management! Again, this year, the course was fully booked with 45 participants from 14 different nationalities. To enlighten them, no less than 49 teachers shared knowledge from their area of expertise. Besides classroom learning, exams and social events, the students have been on eight company and utility visits. One of the key components in a sustainable water network is valves that are reliable, efficient and of high quality, to avoid the hassle of cutting off vital processes to switch out products or perform maintenance. As valve specialists, the participants should of course stop by AVK Academy and Visitor Centre to have a closer look at our product range.
