The company was established in Denmark in 2014 and has since then delivered to 34 solar parking projects in 13 countries. Here's some great news, our recently installed solar panels in Car Park F have generated over 150,000 kWh of clean energy in the past two months! 🌿⚡ Despite the rainy weather, these panels have been incredibly efficient, producing enough electricity to power 55 houses for an entire year based on Ofgem's medium usage rates. Car Park F's installation is only a third of the size of the panel canopies which are currently being installed into Car Parks B & C, so we'll be generating much more clean green energy soon. This milestone is a testament to Portsmouth City Council's commitment to sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. Thank you to Custom Solar LTD and everyone involved in making this project a success. For the past two years the team at Custom Solar have been developing a very special project with Portsmouth City Council at Lakeside North Harbour!🤝 We shared news on the project with you in 2022, and we are now delighted to provide a progress update, following commencement of works in August 2023. We have now completed our first 489kWp Car Port Canopy Array, which represents approximately 10% of the total planned capacity yet to be installed👏 This is part of a wider 4.3MWp system across the site that will include, three main car parks and four rooftop systems along with a 2MW/2.7MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The project is anticipated for completion at the end of 2024📅 Custom Solar have worked with Portsmouth City Council on multiple projects across the last five years and it is truly exciting to see yet another innovative large-scale project come to life. ☀️LARGEST SOLAR CARPORT PROJECT IN UK☀️ Bluetop, in partnership with Custom Solar LTD, is proud to contribute to the creation of sustainable energy solutions for Lakeside North Harbour in Portsmouth by supplying the solar canopy systems for what is set to be the largest solar carport project in the UK to date🌍 With a capacity of 3.5MW, Bluetop’s innovative solar canopies, which will cover 1,200 existing car parking spaces, are on track to reduce carbon emissions by over 680 tons annually. The first phase has now been accomplished and we look forward to witnessing the completion of this fantastic project.
