How can we use technology to help people save on energy? At Brunata, we are committed to helping people use energy more efficiently – and support the green transition through the intelligent use of technology. That is why we have developed our smart and user-friendly resident app, Brunata Online Resident, which makes saving energy in daily life a little bit easier. With the app, you can get a complete overview of your daily consumption of heat, water, and electricity directly on your smartphone. The app makes it easy to identify where you can save energy and money – and reduce your carbon footprint. The app provides a detailed view of your water, heat, and electricity consumption, showing usage by room and by meter. You can even track your consumption on specific dates. The app also offers tips and tricks for daily energy savings. The app is connected to Brunata’s administration platform, which uses IoT technology to retrieve consumption data from the building’s meters and sub-meters. Clients need a Brunata Online Plus or Premium subscription to provide residents with access to the app.

An IoT network covering 75% of Danish homes?! Imagine a network connecting most of Denmark, allowing data to flow effortlessly from smart devices, meters and sensors. Brunata's LoRaWAN® network actually does this! Since launching Denmark's first LoRaWAN® network in September 2019, we have expanded to cover nearly 75% of Danish homes. Our network is essential for collecting data from consumption meters, a key component for creating accurate consumption reports. However, our LoRaWAN® network does much more than just meter reading. Designed for long-range and low-power communication, it supports a vast number of devices, making it the perfect solution for IoT-solutions. This innovative technology unlocks countless opportunities for energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable solutions, benefiting individual buildings and paving the way for Smart Cities. Our network is already employed in various Smart Building services, enabling property managers and service teams to digitally monitor and safeguard homes. With our technology, detecting issues like leaks, mould, and running toilets can happen well before they become major concerns. #IoT #Smartcities #LoRaWAN #Innovation #Futuretech

A sunshine story from Taastrup Have😊🛠️☀️ Changing all the water meters in a large residential complex is no easy task. Just ask Erik Larsen, the long-standing chairman of the 350 apartments in Taastrup Have, Denmark. But close teamwork with a dedicated team from Brunata made the big operation in his residential association run smoothly. From past experiences, he knows how complicated things can get when replacements and installations are carried out in a residential complex with more than 350 different flats. Therefore, he was pleasantly surprised when Brunata's team of installers recently managed to replace well over 1,000 water meters in the complex without much ado. "There are almost always problems when meters need to be replaced. But this time, everything went almost without a hitch," says the experienced chairman, his voice tinged with relief. "Brunata did a great job and helped us with planning and communication, so the whole process went smoothly." The secret behind the successful process was thorough planning and clear, effective communication with all the residents. And, of course, a team of experienced and service-minded technicians from Brunata. What business does Brunata have in allotment gardens? Quite a lot, actually. Urban allotment gardens are found all over Europe, but few places in the world have integrated these gardens – or "kolonihaver" as we often call them – into the national DNA as deeply as Denmark has. Here, they are not just for growing vegetables. With small houses and charming gardens, these spaces are used for relaxation, social gatherings, play, and leisure. Plenty of water is needed to maintain flowers, lawns, vegetables, and even summer baths. More and more allotment gardens are turning to Brunata to help monitor water consumption. We use wireless meters, eliminating the hassle of manual readings. Our system detects irregular consumption, which can be caused by leaks or taps left running. At a time when we are becoming increasingly aware of our resource consumption, Brunata is happy to lend a hand in the allotment gardens.

In 2024, we celebrate our sister company, ZENNER International, which has been a leading producer of water meters for 100 years! 🎉   As we mark this milestone, here is a fascinating fun fact: Did you know that the ancient Egyptians made the first known water meter over 2,000 years ago? In 1989, archaeologists discovered a cylindrical stone vessel in the ancient city of Amarna, established by Pharaoh Akhenaten. This vessel is believed to be the world's earliest water meter, showcasing the sophisticated water management practices of the time.   Reflecting on ZENNER's #100YearsOfInnovation, we are reminded of the long history of water measurement and the enduring human quest to harness technology for the betterment of society. #Bettertogether #ZENNERhistory

"It's really motivating to be allowed to get better and improve your skills every day." Thomas Rohleder is one of Brunata’s many software developers working on creating digital solutions for our company. Thomas started at Brunata in 2020 after graduating from the IT University in Copenhagen. "As a developer, it's great to write new code and constantly learn something new," he says enthusiastically. "At Brunata, I have some really skilled colleagues who I can always learn from." For Thomas, it's not just about writing code. It's about creating something that has a real impact on the world we live in. "We are working with technologies that can help solve some of the problems we face today. We are helping to nudge people to save energy and resources. I like that." The pace of development at Brunata is exhilarating, and Thomas is right in the middle of it. Since he joined, the department has doubled in size, a testament to the company's growth and success. It's a thrilling environment to be a part of. "It also doesn't hurt that there's respect for people having a good work-life balance. No one expects you to work 70 hours a week here," says the young software developer with a big smile. #Softwaredevelopment #Meettheteam

Is dry air in new buildings an overlooked problem? While problems with moisture in older buildings have been a focus for years, a recent study from Brunata and KAB uncovers that dry air in new buildings is a much more significant problem than previously realised. Using Brunata’s sensor technology to monitor indoor humidity, temperature, and CO2 levels, the study has revealed a disturbing trend of excessively low humidity levels in numerous new buildings, often dipping below 30%, a far cry from the recommended 40-60%. This can lead to serious problems for both buildings and occupants: cracked floors, dry and irritated skin, and damage to furniture The good news is that several low-cost and easy-to-implement solutions are available. Adjusting ventilation settings based on this data has proven to significantly enhance indoor air quality. In the long term, the extent of the problem should be mapped out more precisely, for example, by The Danish Authority of Social Services and Housing (Social- og Boligstyrelsen i Danmark, Bolig og byggeri | Social- og Boligstyrelsen i Danmark) states Bo Neergaard and Kristian Voldby Olsen in this article: https://lnkd.in/duzJtVzf #smartbuilding #sustainablebuildings
