Turning abstract cyber risks into tangible numbers is key to meaningful conversations on business prioritization. Advocating for Risk Quantification as a way to bridge understandings, Klaus Kongsted challenges conventional cyber risk matrixes to bridge understandings. For CISOs Anne Sofie Roed Rasmussen and Martin Modvig Stausbøll, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) plays a central role in cyber risk management—providing a broader, system-wide perspective that helps balance security with business needs. In an organization where M&A dictates the agenda, Anne Sofie embraces a dynamic approach to cyber risk management, assessing cyber risk based on an asset’s contribution to business objectives rather than its acquisition cost. Meanwhile, Martin challenges the assumption that everything must be equally protected, stating that ‘more security isn’t always better’. Integrating BIA into Enterprise Risk Management practices, he enables business owners in identifying ‘crown jewels’ and taking ownership of risk, allowing him the strategic overview and position. Balancing Risk Mitigation with Value Creation is all about #Prioritization. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁?  𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮? These were two important themes raised during the last CISL module. To start with, the session illustrated how executives are less a "different species" and more individuals in the same boat, shouldering a heavy responsibility. This responsibility requires them to be tough and focused on high-level issues, rather than getting caught up in the details. Sharing insights from her CEO perspective, Louise Hahn urged CISOs to “Keep it simple,” emphasizing that communication with executives is not a one-size-fits-all approach, as executives differ in what they are willing, capable, and motivated to discuss.   To effectively engage the organization in key transformations, Daniel Alexander Shepherd underlines the importance of prioritizing cybersecurity in a way that aligns with business goals.   In line with that, Jakob Skytte and Michel Leth from Kopenhagen Konsulting highlighted that a “security first” mindset isn’t always the most value-adding approach for companies driven by digitalization and innovation.
