Through a mutual love of bold graphics, colour and most importantly – words, we decided to commemorate our meeting by mixing our two worlds for this year’s festival. As an ode to this year’s 3daysofdesign’s theme, “Dare to Dream”, we are creating a fabric universe that provokes and encourages – that mixes seemingly random words to create messages that, just might, kick start a dream. A word for a word, we will trapes the streets of Copenhagen collecting and exchanging words on our way – as well inviting you all to explore, mix and discover them in our space on Værnedamsvej. The idea of wanting to exchange and give out words came from the fact that the world is a fucked up place, and we all instinctively know that the conflicts in the world will not be resolved until we start talking to one another – and that we need to talk to new people that we’re not used to talking to for that to happen. For us, 3daysofdesign is exactly a chance to do this, when people from all over the world are gathered in Copenhagen. At the end of the day, one must create spaces that encourage and support good conversation. If we surround ourselves with things we’re used to, we’ll probably end up saying what we’re used to. That’s why we should try to challenge our interior design and aesthetics.
