Yesterday was a truly enriching day. It started with with the privilege of hosting the Baltic delegation at Kassø alongside my colleagues Alexander Reumert-Kristensen, Carl Emil Bertelsen Hansen, Hans Brask, Rimgaudas Markauskas and Ilvars Pupols followed by a visit to Aabenraa Municipality. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Aabenraa Kommune for their hospitality at their beautiful City Council Hall. A special mention to Hanne Klintøe for her presentation, highlighting not only the importance of communication but also the significance of paving the way with transparency, while also including the essential role of strategic planning in accomplishing meaningful objectives. Extremely thankful for the valuable experiences gained.

Yesterday, European Energy proudly sponsored the celebration of the Day of German Unity, an event hosted by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Prof. Pascal Hector, and the First Mayor of Hamburg, Dr. Peter Tschentscher. It was a pleasure to meet with both leaders alongside Hans Brask, and engage in discussions about the crucial German-Danish collaboration in the hydrogen sector. Green Hydrogen is not just a key driver for industrial growth but a cornerstone for advancing the green transition, which is why it’s so important that we bring this sector to life.

Upgrading one of Denmark’s biggest biogas producers In Højslev, Denmark, one of the country’s biggest producers of biomass supplies green biomethane to more than 25,000 households per year. The biogas upgrading system was delivered by Ammongas, allowing biomethane to be supplied directly to the natural gas grid. We have been happy to collaborate with Lundsby Renewable Solutions A/S and BioCirc on the facility, which turns organic waste into a sustainable energy source. Copenhagen really brought the energy at World Hydrogen Week!   It’s been a great experience to be part of the event, engaging with so many passionate people driving the future of hydrogen.    Grateful for the opportunity to share insights alongside Morten Bo Christiansen from A.P. Moller - Maersk and Mika K. S. Tienhaara from Technip Energies. We had a dynamic discussion on national hydrogen strategies, the potential of renewable hydrogen, and how hydrogen can play a transformative role in decarbonizing industries like shipping and aviation. A big thanks to Johanna Holmström for moderating this panel.    This gathering couldn't have come at a better time! In Esbjerg at our Måde site, we’ve hit an exciting milestone - filling our first trailer with green hydrogen. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come!    But amidst these positive steps, there’s also a sense of urgency. Crucial hydrogen infrastructure developments may face delays, which is concerning. Instead of slowing down, we need to ramp up efforts to make green hydrogen scalable and cost-effective.    Let’s keep the momentum going!

Breaking ground on one of Latvia’s largest solar parks!   We've officially begun construction on a 148MW solar farm in Ventspils county, which will be one of the largest in Latvia! It will make a real impact on the country's energy independence and driving its transition to renewables.   With 240,000 solar panels in place by the end of 2025, we’re looking forward to supporting Latvia's ambitious goal of 80% renewable electricity by 2030.    Curious to learn more? Today we are visiting European Energy’s first hybrid park Skåramåla in Tingsryds municipality. A park that combines two sustainable energy sources; solar and wind. An innovational milestone for European Energy, and a big and important step towards the green transition. Local politicians and officials from Tingsryd and Växjö municipalities, representation from the Swedish governments committee on industry and trade, Bixia, Energiföretagen and land owners joined us at the site. We started of with a warm welcome by Peter Braun , Jens-Peter Zink and Ted Bergdahl . Then Jörgen Glemme gave us a lot of facts on the hybrids becoming and what the expectations are when it’s up and running. We ended the visit with a tour around the park with lot’s of important questions and interesting discussions. And the price for the cutest, and also the smallest, participant goes to the one on the last picture!
