Imagine having all the information you needed to do 𝘼𝙉𝙔𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂, at just the right time. There's probably nothing you couldn't do if that were the case.   Welcome to the 21st century. We have access to almost unlimited instant communication. But do businesses exploit that action? Well…let's be honest. Probably not as much as they should.   𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴? That's called operationalizing training…by making learning and instruction available when and where it's needed.   Is it easy? Well, ɪᴛ ᴋɪɴᴅᴀ ɪs…just takes planning. If you don't have a plan, 𝘯𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵. Tim Bruce (the training guy) FIRESCUE ApS

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠?   Training attendance, completion rates or surveys? 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢?   Things such as the leader's teams timeliness, output or production rate? Or the team's retention, time off and sick leave rates. How about performance appraisals of the leader and the team? Can they be tied directly to training? Maybe, if there is a pre- and post-training comparison.   It may not be a direct correlation, but at least you have real data that measures business attributes vs. merely attendance or completion rate.   The 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙠𝙚𝙮 is in determining the metric 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 developing and delivering leadership training. Training without a performance goal is like taking a trip without a predetermined destination…𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙥. Tim Bruce (the training guy) FIRESCUE ApS

𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕒𝕪𝕚𝕟𝕘? ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕞𝕦𝕟𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕚𝕤 𝟟𝟘% 𝕟𝕠𝕟-𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕓𝕒𝕝…𝕤𝕠 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕜 𝕒𝕓𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕚𝕥.   When sending a message, people are 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. In providing training, the images and non-verbal cues can add…or take away from the message. According to the guru of presentations Robert Mager, graphics and characters, if used appropriately, can increase interest and make the content more memorable. He recommends they be relevant, simple, engaging, consistent, and designed with the audience in mind.   Keeping this in mind, building a consistent mascot or character to represent or "brand" a program and the training associated can be beneficial in embedding the message you want to send. Think Smokey the Bear as an easy example. McDonald's used their Hamburglar character in employee theft awareness training and SAP uses an avatar called Moji to personalize and create a theme to their training.   Corporations have done the research on how to capture and retain an audience's interest, why not capitalize on their information?   𝕆𝕣 𝕛𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝕜𝕖𝕖𝕡 𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕖𝕪𝕖-𝕣𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘, 𝕝𝕒𝕨𝕪𝕖𝕣 𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕖𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕠𝕪𝕖𝕖𝕤 𝕔𝕝𝕚𝕔𝕜 𝕥𝕙𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙.
