Meet our most eccentric customer: Vlad "Dracul" Tepes🧛 Vlad is happily prepping the winter supply for his very own blood bank, using his favourite liquid handler and scanning solution🩸 “With fewer people on the street and everyone wearing scarfs, food can be hard to come by and I need to take my precautions. That’s why I love my flowbot ONE and scanID for efficient and secure biobanking,” explains Vlad with a toothy smile. Let’s discuss the value of using robotics to empower sustainable development 🌱 ÄIO, an Estonia-based biotech company, is developing sustainable alternatives to palm oil, coconut oil, and animal-based fats through their innovative fermentation technology. Their key to creating an efficient and secure workflow has become the pipetting skills of the flowbot ONE liquid handler. ÄIO uses flowbot ONE to automate liquid handling in all their molecular biology protocols. In fact, they run around 10 different protocols on it which they easily switch between. The flowbot ONE was introduced to Luísa Czamanski Nora, Head of Strain Engineering at AIO, by Lanmer who could easily envision its user-friendly drag and drop setup in their hard-pressed lab. As the only strain engineer at the project at that time, the most important factor was that she could learn it quickly and become comfortable with setting up protocols by herself.
