But Istanbul is just the start; major cities such as Izmir, Ankara, Antalya, and Bursa are all lined up to welcome new stores in the coming months 🚀 ...needless to say that we are more than excited to spread the tiger vibe across this incredible country. Türkiye is a market we have been eager to enter for a long time. Making a Difference Beyond Business 💫 On this International Day of Charity, we want to highlight our partnership with the Nordic childhood cancer foundations whose vital work makes a significant difference in many kids’ and families’ lives ❤️ Over the years our partnership with the foundations has grown even stronger. Starting with small-scale donations in Sweden in 2017, we are now proud to say that our support covers seriously ill children in: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland 🙌 (Børnecancerfonden, Barncancerfonden, Barnekreftforeningen, we4you Hyväntekeväisyys & Icelandic SKB) Since 2017 we have raised 14 million DKK – with an all-time high in 2023 where we raised over 5.1 million DKK, bringing financial support and joy to children in need across our Nordic markets 🍀 Our contributions also include donations of fun toys and creative items that bring smiles to children in hospitals. Additionally, our local employees are hosting game nights, organizing VIP shopping for kids in isolation, and fundraising campaigns in our stores. There’s no doubt that small actions can make a big difference❤️ Children have always held a special place in our 🐯 hearts. From the early days of hosting free magic shows for children in our stores, we've nurtured a strong connection with families – and we have a clear ambition to make a positive change for those in need through selected partnerships 🤝 On this special day we want to honour our dedicated employees who are helping us in activating this important partnership and our truly amazing customers who buy our charity products or make a direct donation at the tills during our quarterly fundraising initiative “Superhero Week” 🦸♂️ Together we create moments that matter to those who need them the most. Asian Milestone Alert! 🌏 We've reached an Asian sensation with 100 Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores in Asia! Half of these are located in Japan where we just welcomed store number 50 in the city of Nara. Our journey in Asia began in 2012 with the opening of our first store in Osaka. Japan was the very first Flying Tiger Copenhagen market outside Europe, making it an important pillar in our history 🗝 We've enjoyed significant customer loyalty over the past decade in this highly competitive market, and we are grateful to be able to welcome 10+ new stores in Japan during 2024 – a step towards our 2028 target of growing the Japanese business to 100 stores 🐯 For sure, our enthusiasm for Asia doesn’t stop with Japan.
